Travel For Tomorrows Game.

In certain parts of the area where I live, sheep actually have the right of way when they roam on the highway. Compensation due to the farmer if you kill one. My boss at work once hit one (he was speeding), the sheep was booted over the carriageway and then hit by an oncoming car. A second car then slammed into the first car. All three car were damaged but the bloody animal loped off into the woods.
Then there's the deer and badgers and...
Are you Welsh and do you have six fingers on each hand ?? Drive safely/appropriate speeds , follow the road signs, and if you hit one , call a friend to come and pick it up for a nice stew...Baaallocks.

Probably need to leave 15 mins early to avoid the leaving 10 mins early rush
I really laughed out loud at this @BringBackSwales . I can forgive @bennyboy because he has to get back for work. The sacrifices some people have to make to get to a match sometimes leaves me in awe. All I do is get on a tram or the Eccles Supporters Coach. Wow. Great respect

Driving down tomorrow from Edinburgh with son and some pals, usually go down A702 and join M74 then on to M6 all the way to Manchester. Met forecast for tomorrow is heavy rain over A702 area down to Carlisle, yellow warning alert heavy rain....
Was thinking of changing and going down A1 then across to Manchester, forecast is decent for that way....not a great journey though.
Planning to leave earlier than usual anyways.

I wouldn’t go the A1 route if you paid me, it’s a miserable experience in any conditions.
Burnley game the A702 was pretty much underwater but it’s still the lesser of two evils, so we’ll be on it as usual.

Where is the Eccles supporters club out of interest?
We meet at the Monton Bowling club on Hawthorn Ave in Monton once a month on the first or second Monday depending on matches etc.
Good group of lads and lasses. We have a coach to the home matches and transport to the away matches.

I always go M8 and turn off before Glasgow onto M74. Longer distance, but motorways all the way down. Fingers crossed tomorrow anyway - early start so we get to the Tunnel Club on time for my birthday treat……!!

I am one of those to defer this season. Reading all the shite and hassle over the new ticketing system is bad enough. As is the loss of many off campus car parks. (Riverside being the one I used to use)

We are planning to move down to the Nantwich area next year. I was thinking, no probs, don't need to drive anyhow then. Train there and back. But it seems no better an option .... ffs :D
Lovely part of the world is Nantwich, or as us locals refer to it, Crewe ;-)

How come you left The Park?

They closed for alterations and then I don’t think they had a side room when they reopened. Not 100% sure as I’d only just joined them then. It’s a while ago now. :-)
Ah....yeah,i remember the alterations (polishing and turds spring to mind ;-))

I only live 5 mins away, but never knew the group was now at the Bowling club.

1st match today since before lockdown for my sin and I.
Drive from Cambridge to Milton Keynes station tackled multiple slow drivers and closed roads to the station but got there just in time to pick up coffee and a cold cheese and onion pasty for the journey.
Train to Manchester only 12 minutes late and not cancelled this time.
Fortunately my son and I are not in the carriage called ‘Flying Scouseman’ !

Good start.

Few trains cancelled /delayed coming through Wilmslow this morning.
First time I go for a later train from Euston and the 11.40 is cancelled! Get the 12.20 they say… get me in 14.27!! Gonna have to ‘wing it’ to the ground for 3pm KO
