Point is this, they are even worse as a team and a club from 2012, full of an aged top heavy slow, mismanaged expensive squad. Since then we as a club and team progressed beyond the clowns. When it has mattered in the last 10 years we deliver as a team. We can and should beat them, they are scum and self deluded pillocks, playing kick and chase football, gurning as they go. We have better players, a better squad, better ethos, they have show ponies or media whores.

Belief is All

PS watching the videos realise how ugly united fans are

Usually home in the Autumn away in the spring, don't know why it's been moved round.
I think you might need to look at past seasons sets of results if you really believe this. Fixture lists are generally pretty random. However, for interest's sake, I looked and we were at home second in 2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07, 2009-10, 2011-12, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2020-21. So you are wrong. Wildly! :-)

Sorry going back to Maine Rd days always seemed to remember autumn derbys at home and spring derbys at OT. If this is wrong blame an old man's memory. Don't think I've ever felt optimistic about a derby since the seventies but always delighted when proved wrong.

Just realised i was talking crap when I looked back on the glorious season 2011 2012. Sick swan in October and Vinny's header in May. Still think we were usually home first at Maine Rd though

I think we'll hammer them. None of this Ronaldo shite, its all about us. We're better than them. Don't give two shits who the ref is, where we're playing or their recent record against us.

It'll be a harder game than Chelsea, 5 defender formation we really struggle with and Cavani/Ronaldo are a lot more dangerous than carthorses Lukaku/Werner.

______Ederson
Walker Stones Dias Ake
Bernardo__Rodri__Fernandinho
Mahrez___Foden____Grealish

Jesus, Sterling, De Bruyne & Gundogan all been awful in our recent poor results against them so can have the Brugge game. Ake good on the cover and has fair bit of pace, his ability in the air will be needed against their forwards + probably 3 centre backs on set pieces. Ronaldo attacking high balls at back stick vs Zinchenko/Cancelo only ends one way.

I think a bit of momentum in attitude swung this weekend. As funny as it was on the day, that Liverpool performance happened at a shit time for us. It was their low point and they’ll be right on it for a period of time following that game and the reaction to it.

Most important for us in the immediate future is Wednesday night; let’s get a bit of momentum ahead of the derby in our favour!

We’re better than them, we have a better manager than them, our team is better than theirs… but they do have match winners and attitude, momentum and confidence is a huge thing in a derby.

They'll play with a back 7 possibly 8 and hit us on the counter. Won't be anything like the Liverpool game unfortunately. Whatever decent side played them first was always going to smash them and force them to go ultra cautious. Sadly I think it falls into their hands, I expect we will dominate the general play but create little, they'll happily sit in, they'll get a goal probably from their first attack and do us on the break after that. We need a Chelsea-like level of performance,

Ederson
Walker
Dias
Stones
Zinchenko
Fernandinho
Bernardo
Gundogan
Foden
Jesus
Kdb (as the false 9)

3 CBs and two DMs, given that we play without a striker? This team selection would imply that we feared them and might encourage them.

We'll try to be ourselves, to keep the ball well, move it all over the pitch and stretch and tire them, and to look for opportunities to create and score. We'll probably play the team from Chelsea and Liverpool, but with Stones instead of Laporte and maybe Gundogan instead of Kevin. And hopefully we'll win.

Ref will be Michael Oliver and although every ref has done us over one time or another, he had a really good game in September when we had that great win at Chelsea. Top, top day.

False @ harder game. Unlike Chelsea's defense , United's is mistake-prone under pressure. If we put pressure on them there's no way they won't make the mistakes that made them keep just 2 clean sheets in over 20 games.

Almost every game Ake started in , we conceded goals. That would be an obvious mistake to play him in such a game. Leipzig's Nkunku scored a hattrick when he faced him ffs.

Also lol @ rodri and fernandinho both starting
