Aren’t the EFL financial rules far stricter than the PL rules?

I think that they are genuinely more well-intentioned, rather than a means to prevent teams competing with Liverpool, Arsenal and Trafford twats.

If Toon go down, they will be outside the clutches of the Premier League, they can then spend what they want safe in the knowledge the EFL won‘t be able to touch them if they stay in the Premier League. UEFA also won’t be able to touch them until they qualify for Europe and then the clock starts, a bit like the bin dippers when they breached FFP but got away with it, as per usual.

I think they're going regardless of who they get in.

Them and Norwich are by far the 2 worst teams, probably Watford going with them.

Took Emery a long time to show signs of improvement at Arsenal, if that was him adjusting to managing in the Prem they'll be OK and he'll hit the ground running if however, it was him taking forever to develop a system for the players he had available they're indeed fucked.

The Newcastle fans I spoke to this morning were okay with him. They know they need somebody to stablise them keep them up and get them to mid table over the next coupleof seasons. Emery can do that.

If this is to implement a long term footballing ethos then I think he's a good manager. I mean I'd not expect him to win anything for a long.

This is a good appointment and far more sensible than I thought they would be for their first appointment.

Good organizer, bit of a overachiever with lower sides which Newcastle is but he will also have the money to go after the player types he needs. Also bit of a cup expert

Emery will take them down. What they needed was someone to rattle the cages and play defensively short term. Emery is far from that.
