CITY, please be the bearers of doom for the red filth today. Make them start to leave before half time.

We all know what the officiating will be like, so we cannot give them any chance to send us off.
Mctominay and Fred will be allowed to hack without punishment until 79th minute. If they get something from this game, it will be through our own ineptitude, nothing else.
We need kev shooting from outside the box, Gabby will close down slabhead at every chance.

Yeah, agree. Exactly the team I wanted - except, like I say, possibly Zinchenko over Cancelo.
 
Let’s not be too complacent we’ll win nothing unless we work hard for at least the first 30 minutes. Close them down and press without the ball....murder them with it!

Looks like they’re relying on an unforced error or a bit of individual brilliance. It’s effectively a 5-2-1-2 with two holding midfielders. I just pray we don’t make an early mistake.
 
I like the line up, prefer KDB upfront as he is losing lot of balls which would be punished with counters if he is losing them deeper.

Also Grealish would suffer imo vs Bissaka who has oen skill and that is tackling, and Grealish is pretty much a one trick pony from left side turning onto his right leg and cutting inside, which often is easy to defend for lesser teams too.

Preer Foden going up there.

3 at the back changes it a bit tho, we need more support from midfield to the front three and also we need to be more careful down the wings and help out especially with Foden/Jesus tracking back wih Bissaka/Shaw.

we lost 3 of the last 4 derbies in PL vs this joker manager Ole, time to do what Pool did to them recently imo but will take a scruffy 1-0 win too at this point.

Why is it a big deal unless you're going out of your way to look for things to whinge about?
It'll have no bearing on the game whatsoever.

It's not about that. We know any kid that isn't named Palmer won't come into the equation for minutes

The point of it is to give someone coming through a taste of the match day setup with the first team. Give them the experience for the professionalism, feeling, and atmosphere, something to keep working hard for - and what better game than a packed derby

Even if they won 6-0 today by some fluke, how can a team that claims to be superior to us, and the biggest club in the world justify playing a back 7 (and its absolutely a back 7) at home in the derby? Embarrassing admission of inferiority before kick off.

Wish I could be confident. Barring a couple of players that is a very average Utd team with a manager to match. They won’t be winning the league this year.

But so often against them lately ( not so much in cups) we don’t really turn up and particularly their awful mid field out run us.

Hope it’s different today. Can’t argue with the team. Be nice to get an early goal so they are chasing the game for once. (Please City players don’t concede asoft penalty today).
 
Not listening or watching any of the build up as it's totally pointless and winds me up. Probably the best team we can pick IF the real Kev turns up, otherwise he's a liability. Take our chances and not leave gaps for them to counter and we should be okay. Plenty here can call the rags shit and do but they have plenty of quality to hurt us......then there's Oliver. Please don't lose.
