To expand on above, putting 'done and dusted' in quotations because I mean Truly done and dusted, as in fully agreed and everyone sits on them for a year which seems to be the assumption. It also isn't aimed at any one poster's claim, more the general concept.

I know there is interest and discussions that happen ahead, and maybe outline figures and broad indication of agreement. That happens regularly. But to call it really all done? I struggle with that. Particularly when we see most often how long into a window they go on, sometimes collapse and or change, even after supposedly having been done and dusted even as late as that morning.

Some clubs do sometimes agree deals beforehand, but they announce them straight away, sealing it and avoiding any change. Seen so many expected deals turn out completely different that I really don't think deals are ever truly fenced off a season before.

I've lost count of the amount of times on here that a trusted member of the forum has referred to a deal as being done and dusted before that player went on to either stay or join a completely different team.

It's not done until it's done, no matter what anyone else says on here.

But I'll still allow myself to get giddy because it's all part of the fun. Plus, it's nice to be in the thread before the masses of rival fans, monotonous pessimists and general shit stirrers make their way over during the transfer window.

That post omits LOTS of correct calls.
He also encouraged blues to bet on Chilwell to join city and claimed last season would be peps last (pep actually signed a new deal about a week after he claimed that and then he deleted his original post) claimed we had signed almada and aouar.

Its obvious he just scours the Internet looking at the rumours and puts together a nice “ITK” post on the forum. He has never actually called a transfer that hasn’t already been in the media unlike Tolmie who has many times called a target before we even hear about the interest in the press.

I got no problem with people seeking attention but I don’t like someone pretending to have insider knowledge and encouraging people to bet on something.

It’s a done deal to us , has been for months , we was hopeful of getting it wrapped up for this January but to keep all parties happy it’s now looking inevitable that we will have to wait till summer , the media will make a big scene of the wages he will get paid , but he’s worth every penny, plus we’ve offloaded players in the last 18 months to fund him and his wages.

That's a big U turn from your previous certainty that this was done for January.

I think the one part of this that stands out to me if real Madrid have pulled out is where else does he go? Chelsea have lukaku and Werner and Havertz, Man U have Cavani and Ronaldo. We have NO striker. It literally is a signing made for us.
People will mention PSG, but... no.

I do think United will want him. Cavani’s contract ends at the end of the season. He can’t go there

Yeah. Fuck knows why a these so called ITKs stick their neck on the line, they probably enjoy the backslapping when they call it right.

I see Billyshears has gone quiet since he said Kane was nailed on. I recall him sneering anyone thinking we'd get Haaland.
He sneered when I said we’d agreed terms with Grealish and that he had a buy out about 3 weeks before the euros.

I miss being in the loop.

Shouldn't say done deal.loads of bollocks could happen between now and then but I think city would be fucking stupid not to be balls deep for him. He is perfect for us in every way.

Fuck sterling off and get this guy up front

Not wanting to piss on everyone's chips but Haaland doesn't look to me like a Pep striker. Hope we are not getting excited over a non story.

Sportbild putting the negatives pieces out already.

Manchester City are named as one of the suitors from England. It’s claimed Pep Guardiola’s side ‘will always be willing to pay more’ to the frontman, but his family are in favour of the player moving to Real Madrid.

Bayern fans probably said the same about Lewandowski.

That didn’t end too badly.
I agree but I think Lewandowski had a bit more finess and mobility. Haaland has pace but he is very direct. Not saying that is a bad thing for a striker just not what Pep appears to like in his players.

Just reminded me to add bayern to the rags and dippers as the most detested clubs/fans - capitals excluded for these cunts .

Lewandowski was obviously older and had a more rounded game when Pep arrived.

Buying any 21 year old striker has some risks to it, unless they are original Ronaldo etc.

We pay more than Madrid just made me giggle. Do we fuck. We pay KDB what they pay Alaba.

Truly amazing how the details of our dealings / salaries etc are inflated and over-blown just to put the real villains in a sanitised and squeaky clean light.

Fucking media whores - worse that the genuine article who are honest about what they do.
