Does anyone on here actually think he’s competent? Or is everyone in the ‘he’s an absolute fucking embarrassment’ camp?
all political careers end in failure
I assume all the plans for "The North" will be revealed tomorrow. So the Toton HS2 station/line is being ditched in favour or a minor upgrade to a forlorn station.
Is it even levelling?
What’s the situation re Manchester? Wasn’t that due to be announced tomorrow?
Manchester is doing quite well given we’re shackled to London (but nowhere near where it should in a less centralised country).
It’s the likes of Nottingham, Derby that will feel the lack of real investment (& dare I say EU funded projects).
Aah, East Midlands Trains ...So the Toton HS2 station/line is being ditched in favour or a minor upgrade to a forlorn station.

he'l be down the road sooner rather than later, does it matter though because he'l only be replaced by another of the sameThe beginning of the end...?
So nothing on HS2 Manchester leg I guess I was getting at (the underground tunnels, the huge redevelopment of Manchester Piccolo's Station to accommodate HS2 etc)?I assume all the plans for "The North" will be revealed tomorrow.
Originally they were going to add another two platforms at Man Picc to ease congestion on the through lines. But as Burnham has been a pain in the arse to them no doubt that'll be dropped, along with any other improvement as punishment.

We'll see.So nothing on HS2 Manchester leg I guess I was getting at (the underground tunnels, the huge redevelopment of Manchester Piccolo's Station to accommodate HS2 etc)?
His performance at PMQs today was certainly the latter. One of the worst I’ve seen. Starmer no better though.Does anyone on here actually think he’s competent? Or is everyone in the ‘he’s an absolute fucking embarrassment’ camp?
Starmer got dragged down to his level today. Maybe Boris triggered him with his question? His performance at PMQs today was certainly the latter. One of the worst I’ve seen. Starmer no better though.
Hoyle certainly has Boris's number. His performance at PMQs today was certainly the latter. One of the worst I’ve seen. Starmer no better though.
Grayling had decided to drop the Piccadilly extra platforms before Burnham was elected.I assume all the plans for "The North" will be revealed tomorrow.

waffle waffle bluff and bluster
Hoyle certainly has Boris's number.
It was revealing watching him answering questions later on in the day in his meeting with a commons select committee. He was rocking back and forth in his chair and clearly uncomfortable. It was clear those asking the questions knew more about what is happening in the world than he did.Pushed the Speaker too far in PMQs by trying to demand questions for a third time - Speakers shouts at him and orders him to sit down.
Truly brainless bluster to try the same thing a third time in five minutes after two warnings.
But Johnson gets away with a fair bit because of his demeanour as a fat scarecrow in an ill-fitting suit capable of a few witty (and half-witted) phrases. The stupids who vote for him love that shit.he'l be down the road sooner rather than later, does it matter though because he'l only be replaced by another of the same
agreed yes he gets away with it because Boris is Boris, it's a black cloud for anyone now who takes that job either Lab or Con, where are we going to be come next April god knows with global fuel costs and food prices, watched a good docu last night and they reckon inflation is going to become so out of controll and the Fed Reserve is down to a lot of it,very worrying indeed if your on the start of the mortgage ladder, thank fuck im on the top rung nowBut Johnson gets away with a fair bit because of his demeanour as a fat scarecrow in an ill-fitting suit capable of a few witty (and half-witted) phrases. His replacement will be a more serious figure (unless it's Grayling) so they'll get more stick for their obnoxious policies.
The current situation is: "He's a twat" - "Yeah but it's Boris and he's funny."
You can't see the same apology being made for Gove, Raab, Patel or that fucking stick insect Rees-Smug.
