Paris Saint-Germain (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

Watching that game just proved to me that the question has been answered, once and for all. Of the two modern greats Messi is not fit to be mentioned in the same conversation as Ronaldo. A petulant, lazy, hand-on-hips, can’t be arsed prima Donna.
A disgraceful footballer. An Argentine Joe Cole.
Thank the lord above we weren’t stupid enough to actively pursue him.
Agreed. Strangely, Jack Gaughan in the Daily Fail was blowing smoke up his arse in this morning's edition (and he's usually quite a good read). He must have watched a different match than me. He was lazy and did next to fuck all apart from the assist which took a deflection.

Will the doubters of today kindly admit they were well off the pace today.

Great domination of a so called elite laden side shows we can win this trophy and without 4 players that would have either started or played a large part in this game.

Well done Pep and well done team and well done all the supporters that fronted tonight.

Great to be Blue once again.
Great to be Blue once again................... twas always thus even in the so called 'bad times'.

If you were basing that on the Messi of the last year maybe, though is Ronaldo much better this season. However I'd rather base it on the 15 years before. Through their careers not their swansongs. In which case Messi is the only answer to the question.
'An Argentine Joe Cole', really shows the post up as nonsense.

The final this season is in St Petersburg, which is Manchester's longest-established twin city and in 2022 that relationship will be 60 years old. It's written in the stars!
Wild horses aren’t stopping me going there if we make it, was planning to go on a cruise which visited there before COVID struck so a no brainer, didn’t know about the Manchester connection.

Go on then.

It's my adopted home city so I'm a bit biased, but I love the place. It's well worth a visit, and especially at that time of year (just before the White Nights). The twinning with Manchester seems dormant now. When I came back here in 2007, there used to be various exchange visits and events that I'd often go to, but I've heard of nothing for ages. The link still technically in existence, though.

impressive even by our standards

a country mile gap in class for me
looking at psg on paper and that is one scary team, 1 to 11 absolute world class, except herrera, swap him for veratti and that is fifa 22 cheat levels team.

we though are a unit , defend and attack as one , utterly fantastic.

It’s the name. People who do not understand the game say what they think they’re supposed to, ie blowing smoke up ronaldo and messi’s arses when they’ve offered nothing in a game. Sadly, many of these know nothings have been given top jobs for popular media outlets.

Yep, even Messi rolled around holding his face. That cheating twat Paredes was 'shot' at least three times - he should have been subbed and taken straight to intensive care. He's got form though so was expected.
That parades spent more time rolling around on the floor than Neymar and that is an achievement , what a bunch of cheating lilly livered overrated bunch of has beens , we made them look like a Championship team and showed Pochetino up for what he is tacticalliy inept.
The problem with PSG is they play at 50% in a shite French league and when they play any other side from europe they struggle to raise their game even Leipzig and Bruges should have beaten them , Pochetino would suit the Rags he will be used to another bunch of big name players not prepared to play for the shirt.
S.O.P. bring it on.

The link could well be reconnected if we get there, I’m not hugely knowledgeable about art but I saw the Hermitage on a Travel programme a few years ago and that’s peaked my interest in going. The new Stadium looks fantastic as well, even though it’s got a dodgy name :-).

Got to admit, I was saying before the game it was like Disneyland on the concourse around 109. As others have said though, fair play. The stands were as full as I've seen them at halftime / full time, and they got involved.

Initially thought the lad next to me was a PSG fan but he put that one to bed a minute into the game when he was relentlessly abusing Hakimi. I'm not sure what Hakimi's done to that lad, but he didn't stop abusing him until the second half when he switched ends, haha.

Where’s the raz haters tonight ???
You would think by now people would get it that even top players can be in / out of form and that most of them are playing too much or not enough.

Bernado is really benefiting from the run of games he has had and without KDB he is the main link. He's pure class.

KDB to come back we are so strong.

Was that a baby pitch invader?
If it was it just confirms that I was, back in the day, the worst most polite pitch invader ever...I remember in 1981 asking a groundsmen if I could go on the pitch and say thankyou to Mr Power for the tickets he gave me and my dad for the Everton FA Cup Quarter Final replay at Maine Road.

Groundsman told me to eff off. I was only 8! This lad showed me how it should have been done, Just go on there...Although Id have probably sank in the quicksand/mud round the centre circle back then...
