Alienation, and lack of trust is the issue amongst first, and 2nd generation immigrants. These people are disrespected so naturally they trust no one, and are cynical. The 'group' that surprises me the most in regards to its vaccination rate are the Germans. They are portrayed as an advanced society with a compliant people yet their vaccination rate is amongst the lowest in Western Europe. When vaccination started I think we all would have thought that the UK and germany would achieve the highest vaccination rates and Spain and Portgual the lowest.i know there are a few asian staff who dont want the vaccine due to their beliefs which is also a problem!
i dont know how many of them dont want it but i know its a fact!will i get in trouble if i say muslims ???
No. But Islam does not oppose vaccination so any opposition to vaccination is but their personal opinion.will i get in trouble if i say muslims ???
the same goes for the number of patients admitted !i dont know how many of them dont want it but i know its a fact!
i can only pass on what i have been told !No. But Islam does not oppose vaccination so any opposition to vaccination is but their personal opinion.
It's a general problem amongst all minority groups for some reason. I believe the lowest take up is amongst the black African community, particularly the younger generation.No. But Islam does not oppose vaccination so any opposition to vaccination is but their personal opinion.
It really is a shame you can't beat the stupid out of people.I’m not sure which surprises me more, the lack of security or the lack of intelligence:

The Ossis far lower, and freedom type parties are popular.Alienation, and lack of trust is the issue amongst first, and 2nd generation immigrants. I do wonder, cynically, if there is a way to encourage mask wearing for reasons beyond COVID?I saw more masks than usual at the game yesterday. Good that more people are taking precautions. Also kept my face nice and warm in the cold!

Warmth? Fashion? Stinky breath protection?
Lockdowns led to reduced quality of education for our kids, which in turn will lead to reduced long term prospects for some (most likely the most disadvantaged). They led to cancelled or delayed tests and treatment for cancer and other critical diseases, which will inevitably lead to an increase in what would have been preventable deaths. Reduced access to non-critical health services leading to an increase in depressions and long term mental health issues. Devastation of massive swathes of the economy leading to a massive increase in the debt, which in term restricts the scope for increases in government spending and/or tax rises to fund it. Devastation of the tourist and hospitality sectors. Increase in suicides and domestic abuse. Probable increase in child abuse since the main avenue for detecting this abuse is schools, I've not seen any analysis of the third world impacts of first world lockdowns but these should also be factored in. There needs to be an independent public enquiry to get to the bottom of the impacts of these interventions, so that people understand the costs as well as the benefits.tell that to the overwhelming victims of lockdowns without covid ! i get the first one but when it reached the last one it was pretty much ignored by most people once the vaccines kicked in!
Haha it was sort of serious actually! People against wearing masks may be more cooperative if we gave them more reasons to wear them!I know this is a jokey comment but it will also help reduce flu levels which can only help the NHS this winter.

Another example of stupidity - was in a restaurant on Saturday night here in Portugal and the Benfica - Belenenses game was showing there but no volume - half time I see it's 7-0 to Benfica and I said to my lad that there's a 10-1 on the cards here and told him all about the Huddersfield game back in the day.It really is a shame you can't beat the stupid out of people.
Lol, I'm sure there are subtle ways to encourage mask-wearing. Mostly though, I think it's herd mentality. If more people around you are wearing one, you might feel pressured into, or more comfortable wearing one. The same happens in reverse. Humans on the whole don't like being the odd one out. So if you're on a tram full of people not wearing masks, put yours on and it's likely more will copy.I do wonder, cynically, if there is a way to encourage mask wearing for reasons beyond COVID?
