As I said It was his best game in a City shirt. However, we paid £40m for him and overall has given us very little ROI. It’s only my opinion but I don’t think he has shown anything to suggest he should be trusted over Laporte in this side.

You would never guess he was a bit part, fourth choice defender.

He was brought in to give Laporte cover, with his left foot, and provide emergency cover at LB, in a team where Stones, Dias and Laporte have been outstanding.

The fee has nothing to do with him, and I think he has done well when called upon.

Can’t think of a foot he put wrong tonight.

Newcastle will need to stump up the cash to force us to part with him IF they want to stay up!

Steady performance and is improving with every game , he looked a very decent defender against Villa but most players do alongside Dias , he would walk in to 90% of Premier league teams and yet he's fourth choice for us , let that sink in , our squad is amazing

Some people are definitely forgetting how hard it is to step in so infrequently and be anywhere near your best form. He's clearly a good player. I'm sure if he played regularly he would improve too.

Really happy for him. He’s not had it easy since signing. I think people forget his injury set him back big time.

Appears to be quicker than last season as I think he was probably still recovering from an injury.
