The Conservative Party

I see that yet another Tory Policy (the privatisation of the electricity industry) has failed at 'A moment of Truth' .... people are now without power for over 7 days .... no heating , unable to cook food or heat water.

And now the only solution seems to be draft in the Army.

Whilst the electricity companies trouser huge profits the public (who paid for the infrastructure) are the ones that suffer.

everything the Tories touch turns to shit

Makes me wonder how low some people’s morals are when they vote or defend this present regime ? The thought of partying while people were dying alone in hospital because of the rules they had brought in . Do these sycophants have a moral line ? The way it’s looking I think that they would turn a blind eye to anything. Would sex abuse or murder be acceptable to them ?

Their support is pretty level for the last 190 years ...

Hovering around the 40% mark or just over. All Labour has really done (in hindsight) is make them the dominant party. Scandals come and go but they don't seemingly make a difference, but Labour just continue to point the blame at everyone but themselves. If they truly are a progressive party then the first thing they need to do is form a political alliance with the Liberal Democrats with the promise of political reform to prevent one party dominating the landscape but that isn't happening soon, because Labour actually desire the power for themselves and hope that they'll get that brief opportunity like they got just after a world war.

I’m not bracketing this present Tory government along side previous ones , these lot in power do not have any morals or respect for anybody . Previous Governments from all sides have had some degree of morality and attachment to the truth . Just wondering at what point do supporters of Johnson draw the line ? Are they that subservient that they would back him regardless ?

When everything is going to rat-shit and when the government need a bit of a buffer, call in the Army. That’ll make those who are suffering feel just that little bit better, knowing that somebody is thinking about them.

Good PR spin, nothing more.

slash taxes when he said a few weeks ago he had to raise them? Slash taxes when when the country is in debt and he wants to balance the books? What? Twenty percent swing away from the Tories in a by-election in a safe seat with an even more difficult one to come in a fortnight? Oh I see.............lie and make a promise you can't keep - The Tory Way

The covid contract scandals should be enough to bring this government down.
Talk to any lifelong tory and they couldn't give a stuff about anything as long as they are in power.

They see the opposition as commie left wing wokes, and nothing will ever shake them from that. Whatever happens, however corrupt they are, however deceitful they are, however demonstrably bad their lies are, it doesn't matter to them.

They don't care, which is why we have the government we have. The tories know they can act and do as they please with impunity because their followers will always back them.

Confirms what many of us realised or were made aware of years ago, austerity was just bullshit to cut taxes to wealthy at the expense of a functioning state and social cohesion.

Fuck society, we don't need public libraries, leisure centres or youth clubs or even decent healthcare let's shit on those unfortunate enough to be not be born into a family rolling around in money and maybe when they are working as our slaves picking up our soiled towels they will thank us for it and ask us if they can lick the rectum clean.

Been mulling this one over. If this all took place in Downing St then the place is crawling with Police and security. The notion that they didn't witness any goings on is laughable and the idea that none of this got back to the Met similarly so - and that for me explains Dicks reluctance to investigate "without a complaint being made" ( thankfully now rectified as the Met have been inundated with complaints subsequently ) - when they find out something was going on she faces a tough choice..... take action or face questions as to what she knew at the time.
