It makes my job harder travelling 3 hours a day to the office and home.
To not have to do that makes a huge difference, can see my kid in the morning, don't have to travel to work, get to work from desk at home, music on, it's just a better way of life for me and i work better. just a shame my boss doesn't get that.

Or maybe people are happy as it’s more convenient and less of a risk to their health than commuting like sardines in underground, entombed spaces.

Not piling onto Bluehammer, but anybody that isn’t saddened and appalled at what this means (short and long term) is completely missing the point.
We’ve spent nearly 2 years being disrupted, with massive impacts on our kids lives, the long term impact of which won’t be known for a while.
We’ve shielded to protect the vulnerable off the back of a promise for things to open up once vaccinated. We’ve complied…and we’re back at square one if we’re now locking down again.
If a never ending cycle of locking down as new variants appear is the answer to the question, we’d better start asking different questions…because we’re fucking up the long term.

I think it just means blue hammer prefers working from home and it’s not something normally offered by his employer.

Not everything is a conspiracy or proof that every is a sheep.

I'm quite intrigued into what additional measures bar WFH they could try to introduce. They could close down pubs etc but I don't think they want to touch that again, similar with Schools. Very few would comply with not seeing family etc again, any late 'cancelling' of Christmas again would get little compliance.

WFH with masks mandatory everywhere?

Everyone made huge sacrifices last year, I just can't see it happening again.

Odd that they’ve been co-administering flu and covid wherever possible, so he could have offered you both at the same time.

Obviously if things get shit down like pubs etc, those rules can’t be disobeyed. However, should they go down the lockdown route, banning loved ones from seeing each other and the like, I don’t think anybody will listen.
I don’t they they would have anyway, but particularly not now after that video of that smug bitch laughing at the fact they didn’t stick to their own fucking rules.
 
Talked to a dozen+ government figures yesterday afternoon about Covid policy and no one was suggesting Plan B would be announced today. All pinned on next week.

Less than 24 hours later...suddenly an announcement is imminent. What sped up the thinking overnight I wonder?

Football fans are set to be forced to show “vaccine passport” to enter stadiums from this weekend.
