I've encountered this bloke Armstrong before, as I'm based in Russia and he's a freelance who lives in Moscow. He's a rag who's open about his bias but is actually from the Manchester area.

I'd ignore him, personally. He's managed to acquire a blue tick somehow but I've never seen him writing for an outlet of any consequence. Meanwhile, in what I have read of his work, he successfully conceals any minute sliver of talent that he may possess.

Rabin took him on and, last I saw, was schooling him quite comprehensively. To be honest, I don't see the need for other Blues to pile in as well. He's an attention-seeking knob, so denying him attention is the most effective policy.
Yeah he’s an absolute nobody who I believe was previously dismantled by Rabin when kicking off about the UAE and human rights. The biggest organisation he seems to have ever contributed to is the Putin regime propaganda outlet Russia Today.
He’s a zero, a flea trying to bite an elephant.

He'd better keep Russia Today off his CV, as well. I understand that work experience there isn't looked on favourably by other media companies when it comes to recruitment.

To move slightly away from the topic, RT is absolutely fucking dreadful. For inexplicable reasons, my late father developed a liking for it in recent years so I was subjected to it on every visit. I loathed it. I found it much worse than even the bilge they inflict on their own people, and that takes some doing.

He should be dragged through the streets by the Bolsheviks.

What a fantastic gesture although Sir Marcus won't be happy with someone stealing the limelight from him. I presume Silly Sally will be doing an interview about the club..........no, thought not

An annual event, I believe.

Russia Today is a lucrative last refuge for cranks and the ousted of all political stripes, from Farage to Galloway via Alex Salmond

BBC National headlines.
'5 PL games called off because of Covid including Manchester United' as it shows pointless aerial photo of The Swamp.
As Mario might have said 'why always them?'
On the London news Arteta complains about how decisions are made (or not) the lack of clarity and the need for it to be fair to make the League fair. I wonder whom he could be be talking about?

Yeah, as usual we have to have a look at the falling down meccano set whenever they talk about general football stuff, rag central gits

Why Blues respond to no marks is beyond me. As you say it is exactly what he wants. A loud mouth down the pub now has social media that's all.
That's right. Twenty years ago he would be one of those people who kept getting punched by people in the pub. These sort of people have always existed but now they have a platform. For example, without condoning bullying, it seems pretty obvious that someone like Miguel Delaney must have suffered as a youngster. His personality would have attracted trouble.

Lol, it looks absolutely terrible from above! All those United fans who have never got within 100 miles of Old Trafford will be shocked by the state of it.
@mat posted a picture of the outside of the Main Stand which runs parallel to the railway tracks a couple of months ago. I was shocked how decrepit it looked. It looks like it's going to fall down at any moment

United fans have been saying this for years. The ground is an absolute dump.

Sky Sports: ‘Liverpool could be top of the league tomorrow night if they beat Spurs, and depending on how City get on at Newcastle’. Factually correct but so wrong to infer unless you’re pushing the club you’re promoting to the fore.

Oh, that was followed by TAA answering questions on United.

Don't the Wreckers play Spuds ?

I've left non City podcasts alone for a while, but thought i'd dip in to see how the coverage was after we trounced Leeds 7-0.

Listened to the Totally Football show...all the focus, for some reason, was on Leeds...a nod to City and how great we were but the discussion was focused on Leeds.

My issue here is that if Liverpool or Chelsea were to have destroyed an opponent in such a manner the focus would very much be on the victor.

Sticking to 9320 pod from now on.

It is but you'd never think so by the way the media and in particular match commentators build up 'the Theatre of Dreams' a name pulled out of the hat by rags themselves. You get the impression that it really is something special.
The hype is even bought by people like the Rugby League who hold their show piece matches as if it gives them some sort of kudos.
It's rarely mentioned that many of the improvements in the past were funded by tax payers and little has been done by United other than to cram more mugs into tight corners.

Or city could go 4 points clear by tomorrow night.
