It was Kane or nothing because we thought of the alternatives available we were better going with what we had.
We may have alternatives to Haaland and Vlahovic, I've no idea who,possibly Kane again would be one but there will be a point where the best alternative available would be stick with what we have again.
Doubt we will though ,fairly sure we'll bring somebody in this summer.
 


So…who’s coming in then? Because Ferran, though not exactly high impact, is almost certainly our most capable finisher.

Someone has to come in right, Pep didn't want the squad weakened in January. With Torres going less competition for places and it does weaken us no matter what people think Pep likes 2 players for each position .

Don't think an academy kid will be a Torres replacement since that's not what pep does. Foden and Palmer were eased in.
 
In a perfect world we'd get Haaland in Jan. He's the best young striker in the world right now. Still loads of potential. Most importantly though, he's a boyhood City fan. That makes a big difference.

There are other good players out there that could do a job for us: Vlahovic is an obvious one. Lewandowski could win a ballon d'or playing in the Prem. PSG might not sell Mbappe to Madrid with the champions league draw, could we try and hijack it? Patrik Schick scores goals for fun (whether it's Bundesliga or Euros) and we could probably sign him for less than £50m. Haller has been on fire for Ajax. Darwin Nunez from Benfica (who we have a good relationship with already). Any of them would do a job for us.
 
I know we’re not allowed to discuss the case etc. but is it allowed to ask if we have or can terminate the French LB’s contract and if not does this affect what business we can do in Jan?
