It amuses, bewilders and annoys me all at the same time when refs go over to players ostensibly to inform them of the LotG. Why? A footballer takes to the field of play either knowing the laws as well as a ref or in blissful ignorance of them. Either way he must face the consequences of infringing them. The ref should not be giving lessons or instructions mid-match as to what is contained within them.

Quite why Lookman didn’t get a yellow the fourth or fifth time he refused to retreat 10 yards at a corner is beyond me. Basically laughing in the ref’s face.
I'm not certain whether it was the player of Kavanagh who thought it was an imaginary straight line drawn from each notch, and not an arc! I said much the same thing when a Leicester player stood about three yards away from one of our kicks in the second half. I'd have kicked it towards him and then suggested to Kavanagh that a card was appropriate.
