that's your experience of some antivaxxers, not antivaxxers as a collective.

Besides, there's nothing more selfish than "inject this so I can avoid lockdowns or I hope you die without NHS treatment", which is essentially the counter position on here.
There’s shouldn’t be sides but you and your mates have decided there needs to be. Congratulations on being on the same side of the argument as loons who attack health workers and morons who compare showing evidence of vaccination to get in a football match with the Nazis and the Holocaust

well then you're on the side of people who gleefully want people to die for not having a jab, including those medically unable to have one, so both can play that lazy stereotype game.

Glad I’m not the only that’s noticed his M.O.

most of my posts are just the reported news and to be fair, it’s mainly negative.

here’s some positivity I’ve posted, couldn’t be bothered to go back further.

‘South Africa has scrapped self-isolation and testing for people without COVID-19 symptoms if they have been in contact with someone who is positive’’
I think it's looking pretty conclusive that omicron is milder , great news.
Early data from South Africa suggests the Omicron variant could be milder than Delta.
I'm feeling better since testing positive than I have for ages, probably because I'm having some time off booze!
I remember this time last year I was petrified about Covid now I actually have it, I'm really not concerned.

The evidence on Omicron coming out of South Africa continues to look encouraging. The head of the South African Medical Association has just said the variant still seems to be causing milder symptoms
it's all looking rather rosy so far.
well, obviously it's serious but there is no reports of hospitals over filling, running out of oxygen etc like we had similar to last year. so good news we seem to have it under relative control
they will forever get the odd case.. surely you cant live forever keep locking down ? which would be impossible in the UK as opposed to NZ anyway
day by day, better treatments are being developed, aswell as the vaccine. Covid isn’t going anyway, but life will go back to norm - it isn’t far off over here.
i agree with you. there is no chance 1 in 5 want a full lockdown. I don’t know anyone who would want that.

I was full of praise for them initially- but they can’t continue like this forever. There is always going to be outbreaks every time they reopen.
it's down on a week by week basis, that's hopefully a sign of optimism

You want extra restrictions though don’t you?

You want extra restrictions though don’t you?

have I ever said that ?

personally think we’ve done brilliantly avoiding restrictions and lockdown this time round - but I do vouch for both if hospital capacity/ICU beds etc are reaching full capacity like we had last year as this proved to be the best way to reduce admissions, thankfully with the vaccines it seems to not be near that yet, but I guess there is other pressures and NHS staff isolating could be the main concern.

but nope, hopefully no further restrictions - I’m out of isolation, want to celebrate NY with a pub crawl and with my family.

Not enough tests to get a PCR this side of the last day of isolation.
Sad, but if we're having this problem then nobody else has a chance. More available tests in the UK per head of population than anyone else.

Perhaps we shouldn’t have been doing 1.5 million a day for the last few weeks.

But they are in hospital for treatment on something, and they have covid. Therefore, 10000 people are in hospital with covid. I dont know how you dont understand this.
He understands it and he understands it’s a completely useless metric. May as well tell us how many are in hospital with a beard in terms of working out the effect Omicron is having on the ability of the NHS to cope with demand (and thus if we need lockdown).
