Would he, or any Chelsea fan, show sympathy to us in a similar situation? Would they fuck

Weak words from Tuchel. A world of difference between the ‘no one likes us we don’t care’ and the victim mentality; one can galvanise the players, the other gives them an excuse. Like the difference between Mourinho’s first and second spells at Chelsea.

I think it was their 4th, and two of your 8 were cups, but yeah I take the overall point. Brighton are a good side, I was more than impressed with them in the second half when we played them, so it was always going to be a tall order. I figure best to get these games out of the way now rather than bunching around more important CL games later in the season, but agree that it's a tricky season to manage made trickier by the PL. But you won't get much sympathy on this forum, alas, but I'm sure you know that already! Ha! I still think ultimately City and Chelsea have some of the best squads ever put together by football clubs in history, and you just have to take stuff in your stride.

Yeah it's why I sometimes hesitate to engage in these subjects because it comes across as whiny and looking for sympathy when I'm just trying to explain my perspective on things. I enjoy the discussion I can out of some people, even I don't always agree with what is being said about my club on here.

Ultimately you're right, the season, as indeed life, must go on and we will have to ride the storm out and just keep going, and to that end, I hope Tuchel starts to reign in the negativity soon. News this morning bring even more grim news - Reece James could be for a couple of months with a torn hamstring.

Chelsea FC PLC continues to be supported financially by Fordstam Limited, a company owned by Roman Abramovich - with confirmation in the accounts that the club owes more than £1bn to "related companies".

The accounts also say that "the company is reliant on Fordstam Limited for its continued financial support". It says Fordstam has indicated support will continue "for the foreseeable future".

In the same period they say they have sold 13 players for a combined £103.7m.

Chelsea's accounts also say there is £24.1m owed due to unspecified "ongoing legal matters"

Chelsea starting XI v City:
Mendy, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger, James, Kante*, Jorginho, Kovacic, Alonso*, Lukaku, Werner

v Brighton:
Mendy, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger, James, Pulisic, Jorginho, Kovacic, Mount, Lukaku, Hudson Odoi
*Kante and Alonso came on as subs.

The way Tommy Tickle was banging on, I thought Chelsea had been decimated through covid and injuries. Not much change there in those line-ups.

No they didn't all have covid. A couple of them but others have just come back from lengthy injuries, and others are playing through injuries. Alonso for example, was nursing an ankle problem, given a long overdue rest and we played James on the left to facilitate that rest, forced to go on before the half hour mark because of another injury.

Yeah the U23 had an outbreak of their own.
Very civilised responses from what I’ve read from you. Just thought I’d let you know as lots of childish responses.

you weren't complaining about injuries when Rudiger battered De Bruyne in the CL Final so he had to go off. You should have been down to 10 that day.

What you're essentially saying is your player injured another player once 9 months ago, so you now have no leg to stand on with your complaints about your team's injuries?

Every now and again someone brings that Rudiger/KDB incident up to me and I've ended up going back and forth for 5 pages. I've then realised most people here hold very strong views on Rudiger. My opinion on that incident is well documented in this thread. You just have scroll back far enough.

I'm not that interested in your opinion. Just tired of seeing excuses that didn't stop us being Centurions or beating the Dippers to a title with 17 wins in 18 games with far bigger injury crises going on. You just haven't been good enough so far this season. Maybe it's a German manager syndrome.

Well you're quoting me citing a completely random and unrelated incident, I presumed you at least wanted my take on it, otherwise what was the point. Oh well, no worries. Hope you have a nice evening mate.

So the consensus is Chelsea still aren’t self sufficient, Rudiger is a dirty ****, Tommy is a whiny **** trying to emulate his klopp idol & the media’s champions elect might not be winning the league afterall & lakaku wants to fuck off back to Milan?
