Think it's a case of being a bit careful now rather than hiding away.I’ve followed all the rules with Covid but is it just the right thing to do now and just lead a normal life? I think nearly everyone will be exposed to Omicron so is it worth isolating if you get it? I’ve posted before, my Dad is 89 next week, had a heart attack at 53 and takes medication to help. I asked him if he wanted his small family to test as we are in daily contact with him, categorically says he values his time with us over catching Covid.
I watched the Paul Whitehouse and Bob Mortimer fishing programme over Christmas, a Doctor Patel said loneliness is as detrimental on health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day.
Was at my wife's father's funeral a couple of days ago everyone had a LFT and some households didn't make it.
Taking my mates daughter back to Uni in Nottingham next Saturday (he's in the car too so it's all innocent) but, I've asked them to do one as well before we travel.
Mrs Moon is not only in a vulnerable group having had a Stem Cell transplant a few years ago but is also technically on just one jab so far, second PF the day we play Chelsea as she'd had Novavax on trial Nov & Dec '19 and until last month the NHS refused to give her any approved vaccine on top of it.
Careful is the way forward. If I get it it's likely to be at City, I've been getting in very early, trying not to have a HT piss and leaving once the steps from SS3 are clear....can only do so much. It's all a live, life balance these days.
