Racist podcast rant - Arsenal fan & 'Comedian' Alan Davies not happy with us

Worst still to me is the sheer hatred on twitter as City and fans by Arsenal fans who don't think he has done anything wrong..Media coverage on modern football has a kit to answer for and social media spreads it further. One of the redshirts fans came out with this 'no one else cares about City' shite and it is joining other stock phrases many of which emanated from the swamp.
"No one cares about City" yet they care enough to comment.

Funny as fuck seeing opposition fans - not just Arsenal fans either - excusing his blatant racism just because they're bitter about City, yet apparently nobody cares about us!

Claude - bless his soul - got cancelled from AFTV for something less serious than this. Let's see what happens with this ****

Finally got round to listening to the Alan Davies rant. He's really gone all out. It's xenophobic, hypocritical, ignorant and unprofessional. Even worse that the idiots who are on with him give him a round of applause at the end and validate his nonsense.

As others have pointed out if it wasn't so hateful, his hypocrisy would be laugable given who Arsenal's main sponsors are. I thought Jonathan Creek was rubbish, but at least he was a fictional character. Davies new stuff is even worse.

Full disclosure: I actually find him funny

However, this was very, very unamusing to listen to.

Don't forget that they are the only team that didn't get into the top flight by merit and are only there due to a dodgy vote when they finished 5th in Division 2.

It always makes me smile that most fans of the 'istree clubs have so little awareness of their actual club histories. More often than not they are mired in corruption and unsavoury behaviour. Not sure if they are hypocrites, johnny come latelys or just thick as mince.

its cant by the fuckers

I think the most gratifying thing about this season is that the desperation for there to be a title race between City and Liverpool has been replaced by a whole new level of hysteria about City, what we are, and what we represent. I think it's telling that the most angry and most "we don't care about City" types all support United, Liverpool and Arsenal.

The supporters of those 3 clubs have shown themselves to be the thickest, most entitled, most hypocritical, I've ever come across. Every time I think they couldn't stoop any lower, they find a new low. They have this tendency to talk about City as if we're Stockport County. Which I guess feeds into their need to cling desperately to the past rather than accepting the present.

Ultimately these things were troubling and bothersome a few years ago, but now they are just like water off a duck's back. We're not here to be liked or respected. We're here to be feared. And long may it continue.

Claude was an easy target, that’s the difference.

"No one cares about City"

Funny thing is I've listened to podcasts dedicated to not caring about City, seen countless rivals and pundits talk about how little anyone cares about City, seen journalists write about how little they care for City. It seems the best way to show how little you care about something in the world of football is to talk about it incessantly at every given opportunity in increasingly hysterical tones!

Because history is just a synonym for success as far as they're concerned. But they can't say success, because that makes them sound like the glory hunters they clearly are.

You are clearly confused. "History" refers to the 90's, nothing happened before that. Any team who was big in the 90's has always been big and successful and deserves to always be big and successful. Any team that wasn't big in the 90's is a small club and always will be.

The responses to this. They really are the gift that keeps on giving.

Made even more fun by the fact that they've had no games to distract them.

He will have been advised to stay low for the next 48hrs and that it will pass, like most "storms in tea cups" do.

A lot of white people bloody love deciding what isn't racist don't they. I think he'd have literally had to start talking about camels and shisha pipes before some of them start going "actually yeah that sounds a bit racist".

Drunk City fans were singing the same song at Barnsley at his first game for us in England. Arsenal were doing the he's 5'4"....fuck Adebayor before the game.
The City fans version has different words. It was the Spurs fans who started the racist version and it was adopted by Arsenal when he left them for us.

He could of just said ‘ I hate City, they play brilliant football and they’ve beaten us 10 times on the spin’ but all this racist stuff and him basically saying get out of OUR country, well Mr Davis I hope the media, actors union and the general public throw the fucking book at you.

I was going to say that The Adebayor song was originally started by Spurs fans.
After all Spurs were the direct rivals of Arsenal when he played for them.
