Surely he'll get a decent payday at Villa though? Chance to reignite his career and become one of their better players.

I don't think top clubs are lining up to sign him, so then you've got the next tier; Arsenal, West Ham, Wolves and Leicester and I'm not sure they want to pay his wages either.

Let's wait and see if they ever get a proper chance here before declaring that, I think for example it's pretty clear Delap isn't going to make it with us so he can hardly be called a successful academy talent.

He's had a meteoric rise. The question is can he do it outside of Italy. Its the kind of transfer that can go one way or another.

I’m not sure why that means they can poach our youth talent, but yes they have produced some talent.
