Grange Hill film

Has there ever been a totally brilliant remake of any classic film or TV show?? Remember “Casablanca“ with David Soul!!! Concept smacks of laziness, total arrogance and let’s make some money. John Boy Walton in a remake of “All Quiet On The Western Front”…..WTF!!
Even the recent ”The Darling Buds of May” remake……the brilliant David Jason and gorgeous Catherine Zeta Jones versus…….Bradley Walsh!!!and another.
Should be a law preventing any remakes.

Therell be no Gripper Stetson, no Roland Browning character. No teachers bullying the kids
Be crap
In this Woke world, those characters will not exist unless Gripper becomes a transsexual, and Roland has a gastric band.Like trying to do a remake of Love thy Neighbour..some things are just not possible.

Yeah, the good old days when Gripper could call Roland a fat **** and nick his dinner money every day without some woke bastard teacher telling him it was wrong.

I loved grange hill back in the day. That Trisha Yates gave me strange feelings in the undercarriage department...
More recently the Inbetweeners and Bad Education (then Fresh Meat) have all reinvented this theme pretty well. Not sure a film made now without abject bullying, sexual tension and noncy teachers will cut the mustard...
