You're right, but maybe they don't want anyone else in current squad for the rest of season. Also having a striker already might turn away potential targets if they don't feel they'll walk right in. I'm just guessing anyway, we don't even know the plans for him or why he's signed.

I said as much, myself. There is no agreement with Haaland, far from it.

Vlahovic was offered to us before Christmas and that's what made me think City were trying to force the issue.

Don't know anything about Alvarez as a player, but Torres leaving seems the likely replacement.

I honestly don't see Vlahovic at City, Delap in the next couple of years covers this off

Alverez definitely looks like a Torres replacement & maybe Sterling if he's going in the Summer, strike now before it's to late

They did! Coached by Pep! Ha. Fwiw, I think Dias would be fine under whoever. He's a typical CB. Felix's style is relatively unique to the Premier League. We don't really have a history of false 9s, and I sorta feel he'd need Pep to bring out the best out of him.
