I'm afraid we've missed out on Haaland and Vlahovic. Unless we're using a metal detector and have gold under our feet I'm afraid we are fucked for a striker that would elevate us to where Pep can take us.
Where can Pep take us with a striker that he can’t take us with a false 9? We’re good enough to win the CL even without a striker, and got the closest we’d ever come to winning it effectively without a striker.I'm afraid we've missed out on Haaland and Vlahovic. I'm happy watching the football we play but imagine a proper striker in this setup with the chances we create. You're talking Ultimate Team.Where can Pep take us with a striker that he can’t take us with a false 9? We won back to back PL’s with Pep with a striker and we’ll win back to back PL’s with him without a striker too.
I’m quite relaxed about it at the moment. On the face if it, yeah it seems terrible to not get either Haaland or Vlahovic, but is it really? I’m not sure it is. Maybe post Pep we’d feel it more, but with Pep there ought to be little concern as he’s proven time and time again he can adapt to anything.
It’s all a trade off though. We’d most likely sacrifice some control without a false 9. So it’s not as simple as saying pop a striker in there and we’ll be better. We’ll also concede more as we defend through control and we’ll have less control.I'm happy watching the football we play but imagine a proper striker in this setup with the chances we create. His early 30s? Or the 2030s?Whatever it is they are insisting upon, Mino and Alfie don't like it one bit.
It's a deal that essentially takes him off the market until early 30s.
Aren’t they one and the same in these circs? His early 30s? Or the 2030s?
It's much the same thing really. as he's 21 nowHis early 30s? Or the 2030s?
Patrik Schick? So if Haaland joins Madrid. Who's left
Darwin Nunez
Joao Felix
Harry Kane
Or will City surprise us with someone who we haven't been linked with like Jonathan David.
what is the point of just saying shit that is both untrue and defeatist like thisI'm afraid we've missed out on Haaland and Vlahovic. Unless we're using a metal detector and have gold under our feet I'm afraid we are fucked for a striker that would elevate us to where Pep can take us.
I’m a complete KFA but you have to assume that City are comfortable and have confidence that they will secure a striker if they sit back and watch a potential target join Juve for a second hand Fiat Punto and a bag of magic beans.

Some very big news from Haaland end.
Haaland and Mino are refusing the huge buyout clause Madrid are proposing.
To the point, they have told them
they want nothing to do with any golden handcuffs deal.
City are still alive here...
Have you heard any whisper about meeting between team halland and city?Whatever it is they are insisting upon, Mino and Alfie don't like it one bit.

I had similar thoughts last year when we decided to not renew the contract with our clubs best goal scorer of all time, several months before the season was over. My small brain figured it could only mean we pretty much must have a done deal lined up with a replacement to make a decision like that. Which obviously was completely wrong.I’m a complete KFA but you have to assume that City are comfortable and have confidence that they will secure a striker if they sit back and watch a potential target join Juve for a second hand Fiat Punto and a bag of magic beans.
To trigger you.. did it work? Why do you keep repeating the same shite?
