Fulham not that good, how they scored all those goals recently is a mystery.
They might just have been really poor today as a one-off.

I still reckon the worst I’ve ever seen City play was the 0-4 home defeat to Wimbledon, it was the most pathetic and abject performance I’ve seen from us… yet we still got promoted that season.

Just been with my Bristol City supporting mate to watch them play Preston at Deepdale.
Both resolutely mid table and with not much to play for, barring a miraculous run of victories or a disastrous collapse. But a decent and entertaining game, the Robins led twice but were pegged back by what looked like a worldy of a volley in the 95th minute after they messed up a 2 v 1 breakaway to seal the game.
It was typical championship, two honest and well matched sides both going for the win in the second half, after Bristol City dominated the first and should have gone in more than 1 up.
Former blues Greg Cunningham and sub Ched Evans turned out for Preston, Scott Sinclair didn’t make it off the bench.
The ‘matchday experience’ as they call it was great at Preston. Left my mate’s gaff in Urmston at 1.30 and were in the ground by 2.30. Street parking 5 mins away, £24 ticket from the window as a walk up, friendly stewards, no searches, wands or insisting we opened jackets and removed hats etc. Nice ‘butter pie’ for £3 and they let anybody who wanted a smoke at half time to go to a fenced off area outside, rather than the Etihad toilets experience.

I see shouting at the top of your voice like you’ve folded your leg in half at a point it doesn’t bend, when there’s absolutely nowt up with you, happens in the Championship n’all.

Football at the elite level has lost sight of what's important, how the fans are treated. The actual football is outstanding (at least with us, anyway), but the fan/customer is shabbily treated, and taken for granted. Ticket pricing is a joke now. Yes, the calibre of player we have at the club now don't come cheap. But £63-70 for the Spurs game (which I'm considering) is getting very hard to justify now.

I think there are sone clubs in the conference who charge more than £24 tbf!
It was a pleasant throwback to the days of just deciding to go on the day, walking up and buying a ticket, no worries about supporter numbers, downloading and apps etc.
Also nice to watch a game stress free and just enjoy it for what it is.
Preston seem a very decent and stable club with decent pricing and friendly people everywhere we went.
It was a much more pleasant experience than many places Ive been with City as an away fan in the Premier League

Just seen highlights of Huddersfield v Stoke on Friday, the challenge on harwood- bellis could of snapped his knee cap, awful awful challenge....refs performance was wank throughout the game...

Preston is always a good away day, stewards/police etc are really good. Downside is every time I go we get beat :)

Unfortunately gate receipts matter to the clubs lower down the leagues which is why it costs what it does in the conference etc.

Prior to COVID you would pay more in the Championship at some away grounds (sorry to say including ours) than you would in the PL due to the £30 cap.

Last time I went to Blackburn in Nov 2019 my ticket was £40! 2 weeks earlier they had played Huddersfield Town at home and they were charged around £25
