MOTD highlights from the '81 game. Starts around 24:20, goal at 34:50
14 mins of action and about 1 min of waffle
It would be 50/50 these days having to listen to the same old shite off Danny Murphy or some other 2nd rate ex player

We maybe 'work related' mate, I worked for a major fastener distributor in the WM in the 90's...Visited them a few times on the early 90s, the only time I went to the town. I was supposed to learn off them and apply it at a well known manufacturer in the west mids. No hope of that, they were beyond help.
I was just research those days, and did not stay in the industry once complete due to location restrictions. We maybe 'work related' mate, I worked for a major fastener distributor in the WM in the 90's...
Waiting for the ITV, BBC and Sky to stop fighting over which broadcaster is going to have the rags game on......Anyone know if the date for this game has been confirmed yet?

Not confirmed yet but as capacity is 15,000, we’ll presumably get around 2,000 based on the 15% requirement. My mates son was playing for them last season but got punted to Accrington this season as he fell out with the manager
Sorry if posted elsewhere

It’s been pointed out that QPR had 3,000 tickets in the fourth round but I’d be surprised if that’s the case for us.
Yes, a fine commentator. The present ones could learn a lot from him, if they tried.Spot on. And the great Barry Davies on comms too.

He knew when to keep quiet, instead of the ones who chatter on endlessly, spouting endless trivia and well-rehearsed statistics, until one's ears are aching with the droning.
Identify the players, fine, but learn when to let us watch the play uninterrupted. Barry D knew how to do this.
Absolutely right. The greats of yesteryear appreciated the fact that the game was the star not them. Today they’re all out to show how knowledgeable/ witty they are …. a “Listen to me aren’t I great” kind of vibe.Yes, a fine commentator. The present ones could learn a lot from him, if they tried.
