Just my assessment, but there is not much difference between the way Slur Alex's teams used to play and the managers they later appointed, the managers they appointed were quite similar in terms of tactics, likewise how Klopp sets up his teams.

They all have one thing in common, all of them completely allow opposition teams to bypass their midfield.

Two of the biggest flops among the players that Klopp have bought, have been Keita and Thiago, the later even though was relatively cheap but hasn't lived up to his reputation. Klopp has coached technicality out of his players, and purposefully bought those who can beat the press, play long ball football and likewise press relentlessly, i.e, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Mane, Firmino, Chamberlain and now Diaz.

Style of football that is clearly not sustainable, the more older his core group of players get, more he relies on hoofball.

United wants to play same brand of football but rather than looking for cheaper alternatives who fit the modern day longball style, they want to splash the cash on flashy signings. Their fans are too spoiled and won't tolerate the sort of signings that don't fit the United's DNA, which is acquiring new and shiny toys.

Long may it continue.

They're well and truly screwed as a football club abd are a club ran on spreadsheets.

Their transfer strategy is to buy players who can generate SM interaction and based on value projection. They didn't sell Langard because his projected value in Summer exceeds his current value and is why they didn't seem him to the toon.

The Glazers aren't going anywhere because their valuation of the club is a ridiculously high amount which nobody in the world will stump up the cash for. Football clubs sell well below valuation, Southampton were only sold for circa £200m and Liverpool for cricket £700m. Nobody will ever pay £3bn for Utd. The Glazers aren't interested in trophies either, they're happy with top 4 to keep sponsors appeased. Yank owners still fail to grasp that PL isn't like the NFL. Teams can be relegated and there's no draft system to promote fairness.

Long may it continue, anybody (Howson, Goldbridge) who speaks as if Yoonited are a proper club are completely deluded.

What's also funny is, Ralph was brought in from a business perspective rather than a footballing one *check his previous board posts with Red Bull*

*I also thought that in the UK we didn't include players as assets or part of the valuation due to their contracts and risk of injury etc?

How times have changed. Almost every current press article on utd homes in on disillusioned players and lack of motivation. Even rag fans are saying what a dislikable bunch of people they have assembled.
