Russian invasion of Ukraine

Okay, NOW i'm getting worried, if indeed true.
I wouldn't totally dismiss it, but more a be barometer of general Russia/US relations than a sign that Russia will be doing anything different next month than it was last month with its nukes. Basically the only diplomatic tantrum left to have in the face of sanctions.

Belgium don’t want to ban Swift because of the luxury diamonds they sell to Russia and neither do Germany because of the luxury cars they sell to Russia. That was reported on World Service last night. Certain EU countries look after themselves in the end, it was always the case, can’t all agree.

Still cannot see him nuking his neighbour. No point in seeking a land grab if you cannot occupy it for years

Hiroshima was livable about a month after the bomb went off. All depends on altitude the bomb goes off etc.

Granted even the smallest nukes now are far bigger than those the principle is the same. If 1 nuke goes off about 500m up the city is destroyed but radiation fall out isn’t “horrific” in the grand scheme of things. If the nuke goes off at ground level then the debris it launches upwards is radioactive and the fall out is far worse.

obviously if that triggers responses and responses to responses and you end up with 5/6k nukes all going off. No matter how well planned they are we’re fucked and in a nuclear winter!
