Russian invasion of Ukraine

You're certainly touched.

Piece of advice, if you're going in all guns blazing do a bit of research. Sometimes, even a Terry fuckwitt like you stumbles on a tiny kernel of truth and then incoherently thrashes about as you don't have a scooby how you ended up there.

Let me help you....

We must confront Russian propaganda – even when it comes from those we respect

‘Stop the War’s Andrew Murray has claimed it’s a myth that Ukraine wants peace.’

Any other cranks you want to quote, who’s next Galloway?

You wouldn’t be too surprised though if the Locals were mighty pissed off with you for legging it if somehow the Russian Army ended up rolling their Tanks into Michigan leaving their boys to hold the ground as it were.
I would, actually.

I think being a citizen of a country should come with it the expectation of fighting for your country. As a foreign student on a foreign student visa, I think it is ridiculous to expect one to take up arms in defence of the country.

How is a foreign student visa and different than a visitor visa? I’ll tell you…it’s good only for the time you are enrolled in Uni, THEN it becomes a 90 day visitor visa.

Would you expect to be given a uniform and a gun and sent to the front lines while on your hols at Walt Disney World?

I was more amused by the lady not switching off her volume on the phone whilst filming a Russian paratrooper trying to work out how to open a door - don't they have a silence button on Ukrainian mobiles!

And people were wondering why progress was slow, brilliant, love how he just walked off after all that effort.

I agree with all that -but at Grunt/Ivan level -probably a Ukrainian Country Boy in all likelihood in this case -if I was one of those at the Border left behind to hold the line etc I wouldn’t be too sympathetic to those leaving me to it whatever the technicalities
