Serbia looked like a Nazi rally last night. Genuinely scary stuff
NATO didn’t invade Iraq. When its said NATO cannot intervene as Ukraine is not a member, can someone tell me what year Kuwait joined NATO before IRAQ invaded ?
Never. It wasn't 'NATO' that went into Kuwait and then partly into Iraq. Iraq 1 was supported by most arab nations who supplied bases, troops and support. When its said NATO cannot intervene as Ukraine is not a member, can someone tell me what year Kuwait joined NATO before IRAQ invaded ?
Seen the price of fuel recently?
This is going to impact all of us I am afraid, it doesn't mean we are going to have tanks rolling down our streets - but more holistic impacts.
I hope this is true, it does beg the question taking nukes out the equation NATO would pummel Russia in a conflict, it seems our technology and leadership in the field is superior, no point in spending £40 million on a tank when you can get a shot load of anti tank weapons and wipe them out at a fraction of the cost. Maybe I’m wrong!I’ve seen a few threads today describing that 40 mile column of armour as the one of the biggest military disasters since WW2.
- The front has been taken out so it’s blocked.
- It’s run out of fuel, the batteries are almost certainly flat and the troops have no food
- its parked so tightly that refuelling trucks and food supplies can’t get to the front.
- As soon as anything goes off-road, it is lost to the mud.
- The Ukrainians can pick off any refuelling attempts with the drones.
- The only reason it is still there is because the Ukrainians don’t need to worry about it and can divert focus elsewhere.
- The Russian general was shot by sniper because he was forced/pressured to go to the front line to sort it out which points to it being a major embarrassment/issue for the Russians.
- Very soon the whole column will be abandoned as troops go to get food on foot.
like what?Or maybe it's more nuanced than this and there are no 'good guys' or 'bad guys'. Western society has a lot of massive massive problems and we do try and play the 'we are the good guys' card way too often.
Capatalism has reaked havok on the planet and caused significant issues within our own societies. There are better alternatives than late stage capatalism and communism...
By inconvenient truth? Here we go again, the thread hijacked.
But 1 get 1 free cocktails have half the alcohol. Cocktails are the biggest sham ever when it comes to ABV.A bar near me are selling White Russians buy 1 get 1 free this weekend but they have changed the name to White Ukranian with money going to the red cross relief fund ... popping over later
Why does the repeated word "think" make me uneasy?I don't think hitting back would be WW3, I think he's just pushing at the edges to see what he can get away with. If we push back I don't think it is necessarily WW3 unless we go boots on the ground in Russia. If we hit the convoy, put peacekeepers in and enforce a no-fly zone I think we'll get a hell of a lot of sabre rattling, but I think it will ultimately be hollow.
He's lost decent numbers against Ukraine alone, without NATO in there too. His lines are struggling for fuel, food and morale before he loses his biggest convoy. He doesn't seem to have a decent counter for drone strikes, never mind modern fighters. Now seems like the time to push back before he reinforces that convoy and they start rolling again. If he gets control then it really is over for Ukraine and he has a future platform.
£1.71 per litre for diesel now and sure to rise further, bonkers, the whole fuckin lot!
Anyway, come on City, 3 points tomorrow!
That word think again.I’ve never been in a Russian goscc but I’ve been in uk, us & nato ones for many years, and would think his first response to any nato conflict against Russian forces in neutral territory I.e Ukraine his first act would be to shit himself, his 2nd to ready icbms his 3rd wipe his arse, his 4th try to circumvent his own launch protocols.
Just the pro-Putin mob. There's said to be a counter-Putin demo today. We'll have to see if it's as bigSerbia looked like a Nazi rally last night. Genuinely scary stuff
An esso garage in MacclesfieldJesus where was that? Paid £1.52 this morning and that was bad enough!
There is the spectre of civil war again. Their President is an advocate of a Greater Serbia. Becoming more authoritarian and autocratic, curbing press freedoms and restricting freedom of expression. Serbia has applied for EU membership though. Has been talking about working with NATO but keeping close ties to russia.Serbia looked like a Nazi rally last night. Genuinely scary stuff
1.48-1.53 local to me,has he been on a motorway service stationJesus where was that? Paid £1.52 this morning and that was bad enough!
How does Russia publicise the new law saying "don't mention the war" without mentioning the war?Putin who has banned social media and there’s a sentence of 15 years of prison for any criticism, including foreign journalists.
You really think we’re victims of propaganda in the same way for listening to what the BBC and Sky are reporting on the ground?
You’re not on planet Earth, you’re clearly so far down the rabbit hole there’s no way out for you.
People abused you because whilst residential areas are being shelled in the Ukraine and innocent men women and children killed, you come on this website pushing the same propaganda Putin did to justify his atrocities.
