My main point was his political position I’m not bothered enough to argue if he was or wasn’t pulling the strings and I’m setting off to the game :-)

Both are extremely competent. Trump has been a self promotional genius for most of his life.

Boris won the Kings Scholarship to Eton where he was the editor of the paper, captain of the debate team and then read Classics at Oxford where he became President of the Oxford Union and editor of Tributury. You don't achieve that with good breeding and a firm handshake.

You've confused you disagreeing with people's politics for them being thick. If the bar for thick is Boris Johnson then we're all some sort of primordial slime.

It would be nice to think that but given that the requirement to be in the current cabinet is a) to be a rabid Brexiteers and b) to be happy to support whatever Bozo says the talent pool is pretty shallow. So shallow it is necessary to dredge the bottom to fill all the positions.

Among many things on Blair's watch was 'light touch' control of the City via Brown... and then 1-2 years later we had the collapse of the banks and recession..

Boris is a Europhile and remainer according to an old friend and journalist colleague who wrote a book about him.

Politicians, particularly Tory politicians don't have fixed positions when it suits their own career to be flexible or change views.

Isn't the current foreign secretary a born-again Brexiteer?
