Erling Haaland

I think you underestimate a) how much Pep likes Jack and b) how much players tend to improve in their second season with Pep.

Yeah maybe you're right. I was just thinking if we had Haaland and we were lining up for a game tomorrow. I wouldn't be dropping any of Mahrez, Foden, Bernardo or Kev to put him in but I do think he'll be quality in a year's time.

Sooner, or later, people will realise that our strength is having a squad of top-class players who work for the common good, and not for themselves. If we are lucky enough to get a player like Haaland, he will be a part of a front line that includes Grealish, Foden, Mahrez, KDB, Sterling, Bernardo, Delap and others. He won't play 70 games a season, but he will be an important part of a team that does.

I know how quick this thread goes, so this news has probably already been posted. If not…….

Barcelona president Joan Laporta appeared to put rumours of a Barcelona pursuit of Erling Haaland to bed by seeming to rule out any such deal.

"Even if we had the best economic situation, there are operations we wouldn't do," Laporta said when speaking to Eport3.

Given the way we play I think of it as a front five with most of the players able to play in multiple positions. It is quite incredible:

Gundogan
Bernardo Silva
Kevin
Grealish
Foden
Mahrez
Raheem
Gabby J
Palmer
Delap
James McAtee
+
Haaland
Alvarez

Mouthwatering to say the least. Thats 13 for 5 positions without considering some more of the emerging youngsters. I think we may let one or two go if they want to.

Have to say I find it’s abit weird The Athetic are charging £6 a month or whatever and they haven’t had a story/tweet on what came out on Friday.

Confirmation, denial or just even a review of the situation.

Media meltdown when he signs. They were crying when we went after Kane and Jack. Kleenex at the ready.
Imagine if we don't sign him? Tolmie will be strung up by his bollocks, poor Tolme : (

But i reckon I'll sell more fanny wipes on this thread than the match day thread; ) lol
