With the Roman Abramovich sanctions - this lot of journos and those other shite teams are basically trying to lobby hard to do something about us and Newcastle and try and restore the old order -

I had the misfortune to hear Miggy on Talkshite last week – he was on to talk about Chelsea, Abrahmovic and Russia... he did not once say the word Russia, but as you can guess, he mentioned the UAE and Saudi Arabia many, many times... almost like he was trying to deflect attention!

The problem we have is that most people that will interact with these "journos" online are tribal in their views and completely ignorant to the facts. Russia have invaded (illegally) a sovereign state that is an ally to NATO and the West in general, whereas the war in Yemen was caused by a military coup (backed by Iran and reportedly, Russia again) overthrowing the democratically elected government... so the Saudis went in to restore power... the UAE are part of their coalition, not the main players, and it's supported by the UK, USA and NATO - I believe there's actually been NATO boots-on-the-ground at one point.
Add that, Russia carried out some horrific atrocities in Syria - yet they don't seem to have been as bothered by that!

They also point to HR records of Saudi or the UAE... but who are we to try and impose our views and tell other countries how they should live - dictating how people should live makes us... well dictators.
If the UAE was that bad - why do sooo many people keep going to Dubai to holiday? The media weren't that bothered by Russia during the World Cup... sports journalists didn't boycott Chelsea playing the World Club Championship in Abu Dhabi... it's just agenda driven hypocrisy... the most disgusting thing about it all, is that they're using human suffering to score points in sport - pardon the pun!

Your last para is the key to it all. If any owner buys a club which threatens the ability of the red shirts to make money, he will have them finding some reason to prevent them. If West Ham were odds on for a CL place, porn would be a ready made excuse against them.

I didn’t realise City’s owners had got involved in the paranoid war crime Russian atrocity in the Ukraine so why do the BBC have to drag City into this?
