Crystal Palace (A) | Post Match Thread

Too many pissflappers on here. We've won the league from way worse positions. Not the result we wanted, but we're still top, it's in our hands, and we see if the Arse can inflict similar, or better, to the dippers on Wednesday. Plenty to play for.

I honestly think it’s about 50-50 now if not more favourable for Liverpool. They have the momentum and we look far more like dropping more points than they do.

7 points dropped in last 7 matches.

Cleary works though. Why do you expect them to do when they know it frustrates us? Up to us to find a solution
Just think it comes down to stubbornness sticking to our tactics and not changing anything. Would probably expect us play deeper and invite a bit of pressure to create opportunities on the break. Not saying I know better than a manager but it just seems to go against us playing so far up the pitch with the expectation of playing through these teams with intricate play.

There’s not much that gets me angrier than a wasteful pass rolling for a goal kick when we need a goal with minutes to go

Aaaarrrhhhhhhhhhhh

Everything slow and wide today. Why not grealish more central and foden darting from wing? Don’t understand when we play opponent like that why the absolute focus isn’t slashing behind them. Two slow wingers holding the ball up wide is defense’s dream in that case.

Stubborn beyond belief from Pep again, a man who wants five subs introduced yet doesn't make a single one, in a performance screaming out for something different. I'm not Sterling's biggest fan but he can at least find the back of the net, why he didn't come on heaven only knows.
Cancelo was God damn awful, never found a city shirt in any of his passes/crosses.
It really is squeaky bum time now, and ours is squeaking the loudest at present

And you base this on what mate? If we want to be honest with ourselves and take stock of our games since that stupid mini break, we've been hit and miss, hot and cold, but realistically the quality of our game in total has been mediocre at best. And this chilling fact is the same teams and the same tactics applied against us and Pep seems totally unable to counter it. We played as a team with a massive weight around our necks and the result shows it. The real eye opener is we've played worse in the second half, we created less and we were very conservative, almost scared how we let them countered us in the first half. Right now we are looking like a team grinding it to a halt at any harder obstacle. I am actually really depressed right now, fuck it!

I base it on us having the best record in the league. On being champions 3 times in 4 years. We’re off top form at the moment but we almost always come good during the run in during these close title races. We just have to get through the Liverpool game being in first place. If we do that, then I have no doubt we’ll win it.
