I think the reality of a Liverpool quadruple is huge, they have a confident, deep, functioning squad and a fanbase with belief, not to mention their media friends willing it on.

I feel sick at the prospect and I hope to god they can be stopped but for me the moment Pep started tinkering with Raheem Sterling as a starter we lost all control of our football matches, I am not saying it's entirely on Raz, of course not but for me we no longer controlled the ball, our games became ping pong football and I could see our players start to doubt their positioning and roles within the team.

Raz doesn't hold the ball well and the turnovers became so common, add to that the fact Stones and Dias have hardly been paired together and we've had Laporte who struggles with any kind of pace or ball over the top, it's really created the perfect storm for us dropping so many points.

I know my opinion will not be popular with some blues but that's how I see it. I literally gave up on the title during the Raheem starting period, I saw the team drain in belief.

Yes we can recover and we can stop them as we all know we are better than them but Pep has to get back to basics and we need Dias to return ASAP with Foden left, KDB false 9 and Gundogan back with Bernardo in the middle. Will he do it I'm not so sure.

I take your point, but I reiterate that a lack of a cutting edge could undo all the brilliant build-up we enjoy watching.

It's just a tweak that's needed, but I'm not ignoring our success. Just a little adjustment to get rid of the scouse infestation.

No chance whatsoever that Liverpool win the quad, not a chance

The truth is, they have strikers. We don't, and we have been getting by with our lack of a natural goal scorer. But it's a fragile concept.

Too late now to remedy it this season, but it has to be addressed.

The facts are unavoidable, and all this "we'll be OK, they'll start to crumble" stuff is just burying heads in the sand.

I'm not being pessimistic, simply realistic. Look at the facts. The first step to solving a problem is to recognise that you have a problem.
2nd half Aguero and Torres goals Squeaked us past Palace last season, both gone and not replaced. Obviously not over yet but it’s either Poor strategic planning or arrogance that hopefully doesn’t bite us on the bum.

I think it's the biggest chance there's ever been in football. I feel sick thinking it.

A bigger chance than when we won the league, league cup, fa cup and went out in the CL quarters?

Last season we won the league, league cup, semi final FA Cup and CL final.

They aren’t as close as either of those right now.

Let’s hope they get Madrid in the CL I think they would do them and Chelsea in the fa cup semi final

I still believe we are the best team in the league and this lot, whilst being second best, are no better than Chelsea who are every bit as good as them. We will beat them at home but must make sure we have got our shooting boots on against the other teams we are to play against.

If hairy armed Tierney had not shit out on sending Milner off at Anfield, I really think the title would have been beyond them by now but as it stands, they are bang in it. You need to look at history between us in recent years that whenever it has been tight, we have prevailed.

Let's hope we get a good draw in the chumps, get past Southampton and then we can really let loose and have a great end to the season. They have form for a collapse, and we have got to keep our heads down and wait for it to happen.

Because it will.

I think they are in better shape to do it - one trophy in the bag, all the momentum in the league, they are far better than us in Champions League and they have Forest in the FA Cup. If we go out to Southampton this weekend which we may well do, who will stop them?

I think the difference between us and them is we can be stopped by a number of teams by shooting ourselves in the foot, at the moment it looks like only City can stop Liverpool and we are not a full pelt.

They're no better in the champions league than we are this season, they even got beat in their last game in it.
Think their game at Forest will be as tough as ours at Southampton. They can also be stopped by other teams, one of them being our friends from trafford among others.
