Why we will win the league!

Could well be , Clubshop stated yesterday "out for weeks" today he has an "outside chance" for April 10th , personally would rather play their best team , they have no excuses then.
No excuses about what it’s a squad game, I’d rather they had 3 or 4 big players out when they meet us tbh..

If we play like we did at Anfield and Stamford Bridge, we will be just fine. Dodgy ref'ing can always turn things (e.g. Milner staying on after 3 yellow card offences) but we even overcame that in 2019. Liverpool have a poor record at Etihad in recent years and if we crank up the noise the way we did that year when Sane scored the winner, I think we will win that game

9 wins in the league and I will be over the moon.
Not really bothered too much about the cups.
Winning the league again could really damage the Dippers mentally

Trent Darby missing is a game changer for them , Milner will be slaughtered if he plays
Should be true given that Milner is a donkey and an old, slow, past-it donkey at that. But you just know he'd play out of his skin against us, don't you. Either that or result to fouling us all over the park, like he usually does.

All this is better than the relegation battles of old.
I disagree with that. If we got relegated sure it was bad for us but that was the only aspect to it and in time we’d be full of optimism at the prospect of bouncing back

If we lose the title to the bin dippers then not only do we suffer the disappointment of City failing but we also face the (for me) far more sickening prospect of those cunts succeeding and the consequent intolerable media wankfest that would accompany it.

In short the happiness I get from us winning it is not as strong a feeling as the misery I’d get were they to win it

The Dippers shit themsleves for the first half hour , lost count of the amount of times they kicked the ball into touch they can stick their Klanfield atmosphere , when the Etihad is baying for blood there a few better places to be.
The Dippers have been given a reduced allocation for the game , under 3,000 , so when they start singing their hymn we can drown them out quite easily.

Yeah agree. We just have to watch the counterattacks. Largely, Pep has figured out how to play them, but that first goal by Mane in the Anfield game where Salah waltzed past Cancelo brought back bad memories. They will target our left side and try to get Cancelo on an early yellow. Pep needs to figure that one out.

I do think in some of the games we have struggled is because the managers of these teams have worked under Pep. Look at Arteta, Viera and now Lampard. They know our tactics inside out.
Its just a thought.

So with my blue tinted glasses on, we still have our destiny in our own hands. This is crucial, as we are not beholden to anyone to do us a favour great if they can but lets just do ourselves a favour by winning another 10 games or so on the spin. Obviously with some of the recent results our lead has dissappeared but for a single point. If we can over come Burnley and still be one point ahead going into the dippers game, I do fancy us to turn them over. It will be like the derby game against the rags 10 years ago when Vinny scored that header. If all the planets align we have a great chance to be 4 points in front of those twats. Come on City it's time to get back into the groove starting at Southampton tomorrow in the FA Cup........come on City....CTID

Its the opposite of that game, we had to win it as they were above us

You're right, we're not at our best... but our best is literally "perfect" where we win 19 games on the trot! It's almost impossible to do that every season :)

Pep is a genius and he will know full well what the problems are and I wouldn't be surprised to see us change something about and win every game this season.

I just hope the club realise that we need a striker this summer. I hope we go big and get Haaland, but we need a back up as well. I'd still go for Ings as I don't think we need to play Haaland every game - he'd more than able to finish the chances when we play Burnley, Watford etc. I'd also be tempted to look around Europe at players like Lewandowski, Benzema etc - players who are quality who could do a job for a season and who'd offer something a bit different. We desperately need some proper strikers!!
He's known what the problems are for years now.
He hasn't decided to do anything to address them so don't start expecting him to now.
Rightly or wrongly he'll live and die on his beliefs.

Sounds about right. Liverpool players have to kick you 6ft in the air to get a whiff of a yellow card.
They’ve had the same number of yellows as we have (35). Fewest in the league, same as West Ham. United have had 58, Leeds 90!
