Ukraine has

Ukraine has nothing to do with the Prime Minister of our country imposing laws on the electorate then breaking the law then go on to lie about breaking the law, it is you who needs to get some perspective
Have a look on Twitter. It’s full of replies like this

It seems the war in Europe is now an excuse for keeping him in power, we have not sent troops or airplanes so what they are really saying is they don’t have any one better
We don’t have a democracy it’s shameful that the government do not have a replacement for him and no honour either
The war in Ukraine is a deflection policy, Chamberlain resigned in 1940 when we were at war, so these Tory apologist who now is not the time to resign are pathetic

How the fuck is he a war leader . He has used this war to his advantage knowing what was lurking in the background at home . Hope the Ukraine pm doesn’t get involved in our business by sticking up for this tosser .

In many ways the constant lying about it, persistent question dodging, refusing to give straight answers and just general lack of any integrity is way worse than the rule breaking itself. He's made this whole debacle go on as long as it has. could easily have owned up to it from the start and save time and money. Instead, he's lied and displayed no signs of decency or remorse. He's shown himself to be a deplorable skin saving wanker throughout. Very low chance he resigns now, best bet is if Sunak has the decency to resign and that forces him out too but wouldn't bet on it. End of the day, we as a country voted for this clown, it's hard to say we aren't getting what we deserve.

So Chamberlain should have stayed in power at the beginning of WWII…. If you follow this expedient Tory bollox.

He isn’t a War Leader and cannot be credited for leading the fight. We’ve been helping Ukraine for a long while now, going back to when Johnson wasn’t an MP but Mayor of London.

It should be the UK that is credited with supporting Ukraine, Johnson merely hijacked the publicity for it.

If there was any collusion surely the details of who was issued fines would just have stayed quiet or they’d not have fined him.

I’d think the ongoing press for a month before next PMQ will do more damage than PMQ tomorrow anyway - even if it drops off the front pages in a week it will be back as soon as PMQ resumes. He won’t resign I can’t see - but I suspect he will be ousted at some point, Ukraine probably buys him some time but maybe it doesn’t; the tories need to register their disgust and leaving him in post doesn’t do that. There won’t be an early election (because the tories will want to show they are still capable of governing with morality). If I was Starmer I’d probably want him to stay given the liability he is - but for those same reasons the tories will look to remove him before an election in 2024 and give the new incumbent time to put clear water between themselves and Johnson’s leadership.

What a mess.

I think you may well be right re timing.

So many opportunities for the opposition to twist the knife when Parliament resumes. Going to be an interesting watch. Johnson may want to announce a pregnancy, family death or visit to Ukraine in place.

Sunak could really stick the knife in if he wanted to by resigning. If he was to resign then surely Johnson will have to do the same.
