well they probably will get better defensively as I think Casemiro will be back then
 
Let’s not forget Real are 15 points clear in La Liga, have the best pedigree in the CL bar none and the most in form striker in Europe. To batter them and win is a great result. We all know our down fall is putting away chances and we were missing 2 of our most important players. We were magnificent

You do realise we've now beaten them 3 times on the trot (including winning at theirs)? Having a goal advantage before we play them next doesn't really suggest that we should be hoping just to sneak it.
 
Hope the players don’t feel like they threw it away as we need high energy for leeds game & it might show after this
 
My take: a vastly entertaining game that went back and forth. My heart almost couldn't take it and I almost went outside to just calm myself down but I didn't want to miss anything. If anything we showed that we can score on this team - very nearly at will. However, the blown chances - perhaps 2-3 goals - is troubling.

What gives me hope is that we will get Cancelo and Walker back. I think Zinchenko had a good game. I love his moves up the pitch and the overlapping. But he needs to get back better. Overall, if we keep scoring, we win and go through.

The dynamic of the game was completely different and they still managed ti turn it around and progress, they are far stronger side at home. I honestly feel it will be a very tough ask next week to progress unless Walker is back
 
The second leg will determine whether that was one of the greatest games the Etihad has ever played host to or one of the most needlessly chaotic. Hope Walker and Ake are in the back four next week.

Just avoid defeat and we'll be fine.

I thoroughly enjoyed that from start to finish, people need to lighten up and look at it as a positive. Manchester City have just beat Real Madrid 4-3 in a Champions League Semi Final thriller.

if I told my son that 15 years ago he’d have put me in an old folks home. How many of us would have taken what we’re seeing just 6 years ago!?
 
Going into the game I was hoping for a 1 or 2 goal lead, no more (didn't want them to be tempted into a famous comeback in the second leg).

After seeing the game I am completely confident in the guys to win at the Bernabeu. A level above (other than the finishing)

Mahrez was crap though, would'nt surprise me to see him replaced by Sterling

Probably not. We defend so poorly in Europe it defies belief. Looking at tonight's game I was transported back to that comedy show at home to Monaco. The penalty exemplified an idiot who can't make up his mind if he is French or Spanish.
Watched the game with a hotbed of castilians and they are overjoyed reckon home and hosed.
Personally I think we can do them but won't be easy.
