Real Madrid (H) | Post Match Thread

Exactly that mate. The reasons for feeling a tad disappointed are pretty obvious.
To be fair to Madrid its a trait we dont have. Cant remember the last time we played awful and got an undeserved result. I know we beat Madrid but thats never a 3 2 game. But theres loads of games weve dominated and not won. Lets hope it doesn't come back to bite us on the arse next week

First goal crucial in Madrid, we get it, we'll go through to the final easy, they get it we'll be in a proper game, bring it on.
Are you not entertained?
Yep, we score first & they need 3 unanswered to go through, next goal massive

Very entertaining game and excellent atmosphere in the stadium but how tf do we score 4, miss another 4, allow only 4 attempts against us and go to Madrid only 1 goal in front. Thank god away goals dont count.

That’s not in the laws of the game, I think it changed at the start of the season. I’m not sure if the text you have was ever in the the laws, or if it was just premier league guidance.

It got put in the rules in 2019 and got taken out for this season.

I’ve always thought with the handballs like Laportes though, it’s more deserving of an indirect free kick than a penalty, seems an overly harsh punishment for the crime. Admittedly it’d be a nightmare at times to decide though.
