Don't get why anyone would have thought the first two were tricky - both sides absolute shite this season
Newcastle and Spuds are the only 2 remote possibilities of them dropping points (and I only really include Newcastle as it's at St James) - but we've all known for a while it's down to us keeping on winning.

Agreed. St James's Park is the only place where there is a remote possibility of them dropping points. They're winning all the rest.
They'll smash Spurs, a team that flatters to deceive if ever there was one. It's at Anfield, by the way.
We have to assume that they're winning everything. The players know what needs to be done.

I think that Watford tactic was the best for season finale.
Fernda and Rodri behind KDB who has the freedom to do what ever he wants. He has also 3 in front of him to feed.
Having 3 in the middle with Bernardo and KDB as 2 of them makes us vulnerable and hard to control the better teams than Watford or Brughton.

Grealish

Going off the there game Monday night they will be trying to kick the shit out of us bit worrying with Madrid on the Wednesday

I saw that Leeds have improved their pressing under Marsch so it could be pretty intense. It’s one of those matches that we’re going to have to be switched on and playing from the off. We can’t let the crowd lift Leeds, they’re in relegation trouble so a good start will deflate the crowd, make them edgy and restless.

I’m worried we will slip up with a draw in one of our remaining away games, whilst Liverpool win all theirs. Thankfully I’m usually wrong.
By saying you’re wrong, are you actually going to make yourself right?

I agree looking at our remaining fixtures and the dippers we look the more likely ones to drop points

…….Ferna, Rodri
……………KDB
Sterling, Grealish, Foden

All five of our remaining games are against teams you feel can put up a fight, but the same is true for Liverpool. We just need to keep on winning, keep the pressure up. This is one of the biggest ties as it's right in between the Real games. Get through this one and a good result against Real and then we can stick the CL on the back burner for a bit and focus 100% on the Prem, whereas Pool will still have the FA Cup to worry about. The pressure will be fully on them, especially with the Spurs game coming up (don't expect Spurs to get anything but they should at least make them run a bit).

Leeds look a damn sight better under Ted Lasso than they did before, but man-for-man, we're a much better side. We should be winning, just like we should win all of our remaining games when you look at them on paper. Just up to Pep and the lads to make it happen. I like the Fern + Rodri idea to let Kev roam and keep some solidity. Plus it eases the pressure on Rodri to have Fern beside him. I worry so much about Rod getting injured, he's become absolutely vital for us.

City & Liverpool's remaining games are very similar: we *both* play Newcastle, Wolves & Villa.

Only differences are:
- we play Leeds & West Ham
- they play Spurs & Soton.

And whether we play the team home or away, of course.
They also have a Cup Final that may distract them ... but against that, we have the tougher CL semi.

Basically ... it couldn't be much more evenly balanced !

Well this makes me feel soooooooo much better now pal!

Scruffy 1-0 will do, our chance to close goal difference was thrown away about an hour into last Saturday v Watford
I don’t think we threw it away. The only circumstance that goal difference comes into play is if both us and the dippers drop points (we lose and they draw). Obviously we wouldn’t want it to come to that and are expecting to win all remaining games. I wouldn’t be too disappointed that we didn’t look a threat after Kev being substituted. The plan was to control the game and not risk injuries.

The boys in dark blue will beat the sheepshagging bastards and the match officials.
