We have a a goalkeeper who doesn't make saves not nearly enough, and a blind spot that Laporte and Dias are a good pairing.
Clearly, two goals come in from Zin's side, but the most apparent thing was the players we had left on the pitch did not believe they were good enough to turn the situation around.
Phil showed still what he is, a young kid who got lost in the mix, Fern and Gundo, lacking the physicality and Sterling, bouncing off people due to his lack of technique.
Rodri and Bernie were excellent, moaning about Kev's situation is easy to do, but he could have no complaints about being hooked.
We conceded six goals across the two matches and they had none shots in goal.
Hopefully we can raise ourselves for this next week.
We need to channel that pain and use it to drive us to PL glory.
6th in 10 seasons. Incredible if we can do it.
Then it is time to sort this squad out and go again. The CL is hard to win. I thought the win home and away v PSG was a coming of age. Then we lost the final. I thought would drive us this season. It didn't. We bottled it last night. You can't miss so many chances and concede so many from so few and expect to be successful at this level.
Undoubtedly Real are a team with lady luck shining on them but they knew they could beat us and we played like we knew they could too. This City side, with the money spent should not be losing to that Real team.
We talk about Liverpool's run to the final but we played Sporting, an Atleti side 4th in La Liga and a Real Madrid side with a midfield that can barely move.
