The Conservative Party/Government

Be interesting to see if the narrative will still be the tories didn't do too badly.......

The BBC coverage of this has been weird, they spent the morning saying Tories did ok and Labour did good but not great. That narrative was still going this evening but as the results come in it is becoming clear this is huge kicking for the government.

Boris may be on borrowed time.

Editor of the Torygraph on Sky saying "Yeah, but Starmer" to try and save big dog.

Fair bit of reevaluating going on. The amount of counsellors they’ve lost today was considered in the “disastrous” amount only yesterday.

Think some poor tories will need some counselling after the loses they have took. In Somerset the Conservative leader of the county council who pushed through the change to a unitary system looked distraught after getting his marching orders.

It’s quite unbelievable isn’t it the way the majority of the media have spun this. Can you imagine if this had happened with Labour in power? Being City fans we should be used to this type of bias anyway!

Daily star - cost of living crisis
The guardian - pm blamed for election disaster
Indy - Tory mps warn Johnson
Express - bullish Boris back on track
The Times - tories punished in the South
Telegraph - victory for sinn fein
Mail - slippery starmer in crisis
Mirror - jubilee bombshell

Breakfast this morning loads of talk of how bad the Tories have done, currently asking Labour bloke if their gains were enough to get a general election victory.

Yeah the media is all about protecting the Tories. Some of you are worse than bloody scousers. Bias you scream.

Look in the mirror you daft sods.

Not the daily mirror they seem more concerned about no balcony invite for Andrew Harry and Meg.

They really have been battered, haven’t they. Over 500 projected losses, when they said 350 would be a disaster. Huge losses in the south, further losses elsewhere in England, Wales and Scotland, and the huge slap in the face for many of their policies in Northern Ireland, which this government seem to be pushing them to reunification.

Probably all in-line with what most people thought following an absolute shot-show from Johnson and his brainless puppets.
