Leave De Bruyne for at least something off the bench.
Bernardo and Foden both played 120 mins at Madrid. Can’t see both of them starting, especially with another game on Wednesday

Hope we’re more than 1 up going into the 90th minute…

But seriously, reckon there’ll be any after effects from midweek in closing out the remaining games if we’re only 1 up?

Hopefully it serves as extra motivation, if anything

If I had to guess I would say it's unlikely either will be involved again this season. Hope I'm wrong though.
I think you’re probably right. Even if they can be patched up, Pep is much less likely to take a gamble on them now that he’s got 3 rather than 5 subs available

That penalty save at Leicester is one of the biggest moments in our pre-takeover history and I'm always a bit miffed on James' behalf that it doesn't get talked about much.
James never let us down. I can't remember any howlers. I think perhaps Ashton beating him at his near post in the FA Cup QF and one at Fulham where Boa Morte scored in 2005 are the only two where he might have done better, but they weren't glaring errors. I was a bit disappointed we sold him in 2006.

The tactical reason was that Kev was dead on his feet!

Walker & Stones are going to be more like a new detective series than City players for the run in, if their injuries are anything close to feared.

It’s never good when you get the setback if trying, but failing to come back from an injury. Often, it makes the next time longer than it would otherwise have been.
Dead on his feet….he was rested for the Leeds game

If you can’t trust your own eyes, what can I say?

He’s clearly been carrying an injury and it may have been acting up and the club keeping it quiet (Shock, horror, whodathunkit?!).

But, yeah, let’s go with taking off the best midfielder in Europe for “tactical” reasons in the biggest game of the season so far.
