I would have no problem sharing all the trophies with the Geordies whilst the majority American owners maximise profit and minimise success.

I don't necessarily agree with your regarding 'also rans', but I am totally onboard with the rest.

This will not be good for the game as we know it and it's only a matter of time before influence makes changes for more financial return. This is not for the love of the game, this is for return on investment, that's ALL these people are interested in.

I think a lot of that, the majority maybe, were from before FFP was even a thing. We sit below clubs like Everton, Villa and Arsenal in net spend table since FFP was introduced.
 
I am so so confused about this takeover.

Why is it reported as such a high figure when it seems like the amount paid is much lower with extra set aside for investment in the club ?

Will they actually spend all that money ? What do they need ? Are there any actual plans ?

How can the government or whoever legally put all these restrictions on a new owner ?

Is Abramovich getting his money back ? On the one hand it’s reported as going to charity on the other he said he wouldn’t profit not that he wouldn’t get his money back. His assets have been frozen not seized so surely he will get something ?

What was wrong with Ratcliffes bid ?

As much as I don't like calling it "soccer" either, I think people need to look into the history of that word and where it originated from. Blaming America for something that was coined over here and used to be commonly used over here is a tad unfair!
