Breaking records/stats thread

City have also scored 11 goals against a single PL opponent in the same season - Leeds. I think this might be a record, can somebody check?
United beat Southampton 12-2 over two games last season
Spurs beat Wigan 12-1 over two games in 2009-10

We’ve also scored 11 against an opponent before: 2011-12 v Norwich (5-1 at home, 1-6 away).

Apparently, we've scored most set piece goals in the PL this season (18, two ahead of Liverpool and 3 ahead of Saints). Now, I understand that the second highest scorers in the league ought to be up near the top of the set piece goals table. It's just never occurred to me that we could be classed as a "set piece team".

That was the unseen benefit of signing Rodri, he may not be the one that scored but he was the catalyst, as we are still one of the smallest squads.

Didn’t realise we still held this record, but just read Fulham are two goals away from equalling the record for most goals scored in a Championship season. The record is still our 108 scored under Keegan in Div 1.

Let’s hope Sheffield Utd can keep the score down on the final day!

here is another one for the list.

" City have scored at least once in each of their past 27 Premier League games against Newcastle, the longest run of games with a goal by one side against another in the competition’s history. "

Scousers have remained on track for a quadruple longer than anyone else.
Like anyone gives a shit about that record.
Oh that’s so funny. So, for remaining on track you get a record?

I must have a record for how many times I almost break the record for how many cuppas I have a day then!! Yyeeaahh I am a record holder. Shall I inform the Guinness Book of Records people? ;-)

Yes Eccles, the Record breakers need to know.

I think another record was broken yesterday. The number of so called journalists who made shit up about Haalands transfer fee. One idiot, rather than admit he was wrong said we negotiated the release clause down to 51 million !!

When Pep finally calls it a day, and let's hope that will not be for a good while yet, there are going to be some remarkable records that will be left and probably very difficult to break. There are stats for everything in sport these days but some of them really are fantastic, wins, goals scored, frequency of goals scored, teams scored against. Thanks Pep and players of course.
