Just cancelled my subs about an hour ago. Explained why when asked and also told them I didn't expect the sort of bile I could read in the Mail/Mirror, whichever page it is printed on.
Mrs Ewing's subs!! The sports section invariably goes in the bin, but I have a glance when we end up with a couple of scorelines like the last two, just to see if they can get through a match report without any reference to MANUre or the Dippers. Epic failures every time!

Nice one. A lot of people on Bluemoon have a bit of knowledge about various parts of the club including myself. And when you put all the jigsaw pieces together it is interesting how good this forum is at collectvely getting information in advance. The Forum was superb during the CAS saga with lots of Golden nuggets. I had a couple myself from a surprising but 100 per cent reliable source. And of course who can forget Ian Cheeseman's world exclusive that City had been "exonerated." The truth is that the fans are well ahead of the curve compared to the mainstream media.
Definitely mate. If you sensibly collate the sources on here and in the media you generally get the picture. It';s been like every sign since February has pointed towards this signing happening, enough that I put my arse on the line with my mates and those around me in the ground by telling them this was a "Done deal" since February.

If you look at the MEN City stories, particularly the "filler" type ones, there's no doubt the journos come on here in the morning to find out what's being discussed.

Worked for thirty years when it was journalism. These modern fanboys are not only useless, they are thick as fuck. Embarrassing really. Can't forget Sam Lee's be a sports journalist for "x" amount of sheets. PUDDING.
I think it is safe to say that quite a lot of people on Bluemoon have better sources of information at City than any of the current crop of sports reporters in the broadcast and print media. Most of them just turn up at the press conference and then spin a few of the quotes from Pep to a pre-ordained angle. The sports hacks operate as a pack and often swap notes with each other before they publish. That way brings a safety in numbers. One well-worn trick is for one hack to phone another and quote another reporter as an unnamed source.
They are a disgrace really. Their lack of knowledge on football finance makes them look like fools. The Telegraph produced a couple of articles recently that were absurd. They are regarded with contempt by serious and courageous journalists who still try to tell the truth about places like Ukraine.

So true.

They use WhatsApp these days. Just ask Miggy.

Didn’t every other reliable source on the forum say he was full of shit and just guessed? He printed Cory were exonerated before they even knew the results.

I didn't know where to put this as I dont know the commentators name but considering sky is media I thought here.

You have to laugh at how he came to the conclusion why we signed Dias and Haaland. Apparently Dias was bought because we lost 5-2 to Leicester and the reason we have bought Haaland is because we lost to Madrid.

Absolutely pathetic, but they know most of there bitter audience will lap it up.
Called it retail therapy

Anybody heard of the football journalist Rob Hughes ?
Here's an extract from an article on European football in last week's edition of the New European:
'City ,of course, are a different kettle of fish. The Qatari state -owned club was purposely redesigned for Guardiola's arrival in July 2016'
Anyone spot the error?

Yeah.
You boil fish in a pan.

Deary, deary, deary me..

You telling me, fellow Blue, that a grown man actually sat down and wrote that? A fully grown up man? That he makes his living writing stuff like that? A grown man? What a world we live in.. a grown f**king man?!

Miserable, irascible old tw*nt I may be but, Blimey Charlie, I'm with Marvin Gaye on matters such as these.. 'Makes me wanna holler, throw up both my hands..'

Come on, City, two more wins and stuff it down these f**kers throats. And then you can have a nice, long rest over the Summer before starting all over again to do it to them once more next season..
I know, it's fucking awful. He has always been a twat and there is no excuse for stuff like the above but I actually respond in pity for him. I understand that many won't, but it is worth searching online and finding out what he went through a couple of years ago. He had a horrendous time with his wife dying of a brain tumour during covid and used to drive 30 miles every day to sit outside the window of her room in a hospice because he wasn't allowed inside the building.

I was genuinely moved by his well written account. You would have to be devoid humanity not to feel sorry for him, even if you, like I, have always found him repugnent. I think that this, not unsurprisingly, has had a profound effect on him and, from other comments I have read on here, I'm not the only one who has noticed a change in his output towards the unhinged level of Ewen McKenna. He seems to be consummed with bitterness and hate towards us. Perhaps he has channelled his anger at his circumstances towards City. I really hope that he finds help and peace and can be returned to his previous level of obnoxiousness.

Is it the word "journalist"?

I think it’s deliberate mate, I have seen reports from everyone of the WhatsApp group and other so called sports journalists who put us as Saudi or Qatari owned intermittently, Deloony did it the other day with Haaland saying the stance Norway have taken against the Qatar World Cup would have a bearing on him joining City, thereby putting it in the fuckwits minds who follow these knobheads on social media and written media that Saudi/Qatar/UAE are all one and the same.

I personally think there is a strong element of racism mixed with their own allegiances to the red owned clubs and their fans who seem to lap this shit up, their heavy use of the term ‘oil owned’ club is a substitute for what they would say if they could referring to City’s owners ethnicity and/or religion.
