No mention of illegality in that quote and the FA have no say as to what is legal or illegal."former Culture Secretary Karen Bradley said: 'It is utterly unacceptable and disgraceful that fans booed Prince William. I would urge the FA to take all necessary action and pursue those responsible."
I wasn't aware Booing was now somehow illegal in the UK.
True, but the inference was (from a member of parliament) that these people must be sought out and punished. No mention of illegality in that quote and the FA have no say as to what is legal or illegal.
I think in the dark ages the mob preferred burning or killing to booing.......... on second thoughts we may be heading that way. To be fair the inference I got was that the FA should take action rather than the legal system.True, but the inference was (from a member of parliament) that these people must be sought out and punished.
Maybe she needs reminding that Booing is every citizens right in the UK whether she likes it or not.
It's not the dark ages.....or is it ?
That's the inference I got, but what action ? ...how can you "take action" (as recommended by an MP), against people who are doing absolutely nothing wrong... What power have the FA got to stop people booing at the Prince Of Wales ?I think in the dark ages the mob preferred burning or killing to booing.......... on second thoughts we may be heading that way. I have no idea what action, it's political posing imo. It is nonsense, it is not illegal and it seems freedom of expression is now considered as, "if it is not illegal, anything is ok." Some still use discretion in there actions, it seems more and more don't.That's the inference I got, but what action ? ...how can you "take action" (as recommended by an MP), against people who are doing absolutely nothing wrong... It's complete nonsense.
It's perfectly ok to Boo the PM or leader of the opposition, but not an unelected member of the Royal Family.
Booing is essentially the personification of the twitter/facebook keyboard warriors in an anonymous, tribal form.I have no idea what action, it's political posing imo. I agree but he didn't need to rest Ederson and that was key.The team was knackered from Atletico away, he had to change it. Liverpool was able to rest over half their team against Benfica.
They don’t work anyway - every days a holiday for those work shy twatsThey may boo the national anthem, Prince William etc. but I bet they’ll happily take the extra day bank holiday for the Jubilee. I don’t expect they will go to work in protest….
Pretty sure the Irish don'tDidn’t realize Scandinavians don’t like the royal family….
Nail on head.Pretty sure the Irish don't
Indeed, its easy in hindsight but I suppose we will never know if we could have tweaked things and still won both. I would have been more confident of the team picked in the semi against Liverpool overcoming Brighton at home. Two years on the trot now we have done this in a semi-finalwe did but had to be fit for Brighton on Tuesday, that was the game that was prioritised.
