Well, if Pep does win the CL next season he’ll have completed the full set in the same time frame as Bugs Bunny but he’ll have multiple Premier League Trophies and League Cups as well as an FA Cup so surely that’ll make him a greater Manager?

Pep could win the quadruple next season and the media still won't recognise or acknowledge his achievement.

Managers like Klopp are only receiving this level of admiration because it so happens to be Liverpool that are the team that are currently stopping us from cleaning up.

We heard a similar theme when it was the rags chasing us to the title.

The superlatives aimed at Klopp come more from a place of relief that we haven't ran away with it this year.

Let's wait to see whether Klopp can manage more than the domestic double shall we before we all start getting carried away.

Ever since I got into football as a kid, I've always been (I hope) fair-minded about other teams winning stuff and have argued for the trophies to be shared around for the health of the game and all that gubbins etc.. I've supported British teams in European finals, given credit to top flight winning sides from all around the country and so on and so on.

But since 2008, the reactions to City's development from other clubs/their supporters, the media, the footballing authorities, together with the letters from moaning, plotting, self-righteous and self-entitled clubs to UEFA/the Premier League and the attempts to screw us via FFP.. well, all that has changed my viewpoint.

Next year I want us to win everything. The lot. Todo. Tutti. And for us to do so again the season after. And just for good measure, the two seasons after that will do too..

And if that p**ses off the clubs at the top of the trees here at home and in Europe, so be it. They deserve every moment of misery our beautiful football and our successes can pile on them.

Freedom of Expression

Parts of the media are reporting on the rights to freedom of expression in the context of booing at the FA Cup Final during `Abide with Me` and whilst the National Anthem was being sung. It has since been escalated by some MPs. The public face of Liverpool FC, their coach / manager, called their supporters "wonderful people".

Regardless of opinions on either side, once again the facts are that when things go wrong, and sometimes badly, these wonderful people are either inside or outside the stadium on too many occasions for it just to be coincidence. Even in celebration of a Premier League trophy, it somehow went wrong in the town centre of Liverpool.

When a respected journalist of many years standing wrote that these same people “frightened the living daylights” out of him -

he was hounded out of his job and eventually paid off. It was felt that this was because what he wrote was recognised and understood by so many others who felt gagged by the media and political might that Liverpool leverage.

It seems that freedom of expression only works one way.

Hope our lawyers are all over this.

Its so laughable, esp given what the Rags have had inc that season with dodgy penalties galore, Oliver bottling a Fulham penalty v them, Young diving v Villa for a penalty and sending off etc etc etc. Nice to know he is hurting still from that day 10 years on
