I would honestly expect what they did to be headline news in other countries that were taking the match live, as my critical expectations for them and the UK press are non/existent.
Surely foreign viewers (and tv presenters and journalists) would have found it all pretty shocking, esp American fans of theirs.

The best way to deal with scouse vermin and their lack of respect for the national anthem is for a few senior politicians to put pressure on the broadcasters that when the scouse national anthem is played before games that they go to an ad break or they focus the camera on the players or the managers and talk over it. Nothing like ignoring their hymn and showing them zero respect to get them riled

Who would have thought that the descendants of this country’s last set of slave traders would have booed a black choir singing Abide With Me either? The same ancestors who openly supported and campaigned for the south in the American civil war.

I was walking towards this disheveled looking bloke. He was wearing dirty clothes with holes in them, straggly beard, missing teeth, wild hair, and he had a bottle of White Lightening next to him.

I baulked at the stench of urine, and as I drew level with him, he picked up and strummed a guitar and sang

On a side note I've watched and counted shots that game and the 44 shots stuff is just sky lies to tie in with 44 years.
 
Good old BBC throwing money into another of those talking heads thingies with Shearer, Jug Ears and Micah. Topic Spurs chance of success, Kane, Son and Conte.

By which time Arry will be 33 and in a wheelchair and Son 35. Conte has never stayed in a job that long.

Shearer. Looking pensive and intelligent stroking his chin and helping the debate and his intelligence rating by saying very little.

Media and entertaining, engaging critical input……what an ongoing joke.

The differences are that the 44 requires the blocked shots to be counted, and they aren't usually, so yes, it's a massaged number. I hadn't connected it with anything else.

On target: 15-3
Off target: 10-0
Blocked: 19-0
 
Come on fellas...the team you purport to manage has just been relegated...and there's no disguising the fact that if you put back the 21 points they were clipped....they would have finished 17th. Not great.
So you put on a bit of weight, and your latest hair job mainly resides on the shower floor. Due to some previous indescretions you are facing a summer locked in a huge half finished mansion with your four ADHD sprogs, and on a short lead.
Then....your feckin Mrs has a bit of a row with some sort and despite your pleas of ' can't you just drop it luv'' you are dragged up and perp walked to court every day...in a suit that doesn't fit.

Wouldn't you make up a conspiracy theory?...well, wouldn't you?

see the edited comment, I found a different page on whoscored with the numbers.

I'd only heard the 44 shots in the last week, and I'm not surprised that it's not true.
