Cost £8m in 2015, played 89 matches 2015-19 and 5 goals. In 2017-18 he was excellent after replacing the injured tosser whose name must never be mentioned. We sold him to Everton in 2019 for £8.5m rising to 10m with add-ons. An unbelievable transfer fee - he’s managed 41 matches and 0 goals for the Toffees since.
A decent squad player similar vibes with Phillips

When is Pep going to actually trust the Academy graduates?? They win the age-group trophies, get ‘bigged up’ on the club website, get sent out on loan and…..DISAPPEAR……

I am a Lavia fan I did want him to be given a shot but probably not ready for the role going into next season. I said the same thing here about Zin being given the chance in midfield. On the flip side Cole Palmer has a good chance of making it under Pep

He was playing fine, start and played 90 mins in 10 out of 10 full games and got dropped. Even when they were up by 4/5 goals he never came on again. It was abit out of the blue at the time for me even to not get a shot to reclaim the stake for a place anyway.

Looks like he's off to Celtic this summer, He'll smash it up there.
I think if he played a certain amount of games there were financial incentives which Anderlecht were too skint to meet. Certainly not performance related, he was great at 19 for a position where you don’t approach your peak until 25-plus
Taylor will be a PL player and will have a long career. Whether with City or not I’m not certain but he was absolutely miles ahead of the likes of Tosin, Mee etc and has real warrior and leadership qualities that some of his rivals at City lack

Lavia is at least two/three years from being ready to start in the premier league

Which I did put in the first bit in the post and probably one of the reasons why we are after Kalvin Phillips
Yep the timing and ages would probably work out tbf
Romeo even struggled at times v big physical midfielders in PL2 so he remains way off starting v grown men at any serious level
But he is a real talent for certain. Maybe needs a year of physical growth, some meat on his shoulders and some scars on his shins before he is ready

Same price as Ake who also has proved valuable cover
Fabinho has cost the same as Ake and he is on a different level than him. We don't need to overpay in that case IMO. We can find a better player for cheaper. Use detailed scrunity.

One is a defender one is a defensive midfielder. While Fabinho would of been a very good addition we decided to wait a season and sign Rodri instead.

A year? He is an 18-year-old boy, the players at his position are starting to be good ones around 22-23 years of age.

Are you paying for a top long-term quality after detailed scrutiny or are we going to overpay for a 27-year-old, not a top-class player from a nearly-relegated side? It's simply ridiculous.

Are you calling Ake shit? Are you a mod/poster on a wind up?

A football career is a very short career. I’m sure he could put up with a bit of rain for the next few years hoovering up trophies on an unthinkable Salary! He can then spend the next 60 years living wherever he wants without working another day in his life

or am I missing something!?!?!
I agree but we are all different, what any player would want to leave this club for at this time is beyond me but as said personal issues are a completely different matter.

That's a long time.....What is he lacking in his game that makes you say that?

Edit...just seen your other comment.I clearly disagree,i think he could be a starter in a team that has been recently promoted or exists in the lower league positions.
I never saw him get bullied or overwhelmed in PL2,if anything i believe he looked too comfortable and needed a higher level of football to further develop him.

He is a talent but he is years off the first team level, he needs to be playing regularly at a much higher level, probably a championship club.
