If anyone doubted that "fearless reporting" was dead, media coverage of last night's shameful events, is the proof.

Craven, cowering, spineless, supine, submissive and shameless capitulation to their weaponised fanbase. If the scousers' behaviour was disgusting, the behaviour of our media certainly sits firmly alongside it.

Complicit, Pep was 100% correct with his comments.

I think there is a direct comparison you can make when thinking about Liverpool fans.

They do say that you are never more than 6 feet away from a rat. There are 6 humans to every rat, but in big cities that ratio changes to 4 humans to every rat.

Amazing
Klopp should be made to shoulder some of the blame for encouraging fans without tickets to travel.
Hillsboro anybody???

Don’t believe there were 60000 Madrid fans in Paris last night…
Klopp is fully invested in the Cult narrative. He wants to bathe in the anti-hero light, so don't expect him to ever consider the possibility that his words might have wider-reaching consequences

Very concerning.

I have a mate who works in the press/media and even she is saying it now. She doesnt understand this love for liverpool

Criticise Liverpool negatively and your career is finished. Journos play devil's advocate to appease their following. Olden is at it today spouting pure bollocks because it gains him clicks from the dippers.

60,000 cheeky scousers ( the majority of which were ticketless ) on the beer following liverpool - what could possibly go wrong? Why would they travel and spend money to go to Paris? Answer - they went to try and get in and watch the game by any means necessary. It is a pity that some innocent fans suffered but I just hope UEFA make the right call and put the blame at liverpool's door. But they are European royalty so maybe not!

When those Scouse twats do eventually cause another load of mass fatalities, the UK media will have blood on their hands for not calling them out as being at least partially to blame for previous events including last night!
Actually you can add the other vile red lot to that. As the bar is continually lowered about what constitutes society letting them get away with cancelling a match by breaking into the stadium will have consequences. That there is no functioning journalism and abject corruption in the grubby scrabble for a few quid guarantees it.

Let’s put it this way: UEFA can either take the blame for poor organisation or blame the feral lowlife scum who tried to get in without tickets.
Don’t recall the Madrid fans having any issues so I suspect they will throw the book at lfc.
It’s not exactly as if there haven’t been any precedents.
Just fucking relieved we weren’t there instead of RM!

Reading all sorts of reports today it is easy to believe that the French forces were poorly prepared and heavy handed. What is missing from any article is the context and history of the dippers forays into Europe and the madness and consequences that follows. This is not opinion it’s fact.
And the fact that no article has even touched on this and Klopps call to arms and the significance of todays date and the posted internet articles about sellers of dodgy tickets etc. is pathetic.
Most footy fans of other clubs could have advised that there would be problems. There most often are when the dippers are overseas.

I suspect the UEFA investigation will come to this conclusion.
Lfc have previous both at home and in Europe.
Hope they ban the cunts.

This is where Uefa setting the rules will be a delight to watch.

They will fine Liverpool and totally defend their own position.
What will be even funnier is how UEFA, bastions of truth and fair play when going after City, will turn into amateur no marks, with not an ounce of integrity, over the next week!!

On Sky now is the liverpool Echo Head of Football, Joe Rimmer, how incredibly apt!

Edit - He just said there is very little evidence of any bad fan behaviour!!!!

The Stade De France has hosted World cups, Euro 2016, six nations rugby, various concerts. I have never heard of this happening before, it’s not like they have hosted events as big as this previously. The one factor that’s caused this is Liverpool supporters being Liverpool supporters.
Absolutely agree with you, especially the list of top sporting and other events that have been held at Stade de France.

I went there with a United pal of mine who lived in Paris for over 20 years, to see the France-Italy World Cup quarter-final in 1998. The stadium and the crowd management was very impressive. My pal has been to Saint-Denis for all sorts of sports/music events and in conversation with him today he expressed the same thoughts as you.

And as I've been saying since last night, our supine, partial media should be starting its reporting of this repeat performance by Liverpool fans by simply asking the comparative question.. 'Why were there no similar problems with the Real Madrid allocation/section of the ground?'

Instead, we've been treated thus far to gaslighting by our sports media on an industrial scale, which that cuddly, cheeky-chappy 'Uncle Walt' Putin could only marvel at..

I can tell you for a fact that not one desk wanted to know when I reminded them it was the Heysel anniversary on the same day as today's 'victory' parade.

I was told 'thanks', but we're not going near it.
