Does make you laugh this Nunez signing. City sign a big number 9 striker... soon after out of the blue the scousers are signing a big number 9 which they've not really played with for years. klipperty klopp.

Feel like this guy is the opposite of Firminio

Firmino isn't blessed with pace or power, and isn't a ruthless goal scorer, but he's technically very good, had great work ethics, great touch, great teamwork, unselfish

This guy has pace and power in abundance and seems a ruthless goalscorer, but technically he doesn't look great, poor first touch, doesnt really link up play

Seems an odd signing given what has worked for them, especially at that fee

The guy is a Bozo, was dreading missing out on Haaland because I thought we'd get this donkey

French police are the latest to apologise. These Liverpool fans are just saints!
It’s not really an apology, that’s just how it’s been reported over here. It sounds to me like they’re saying thousands of fans without (valid) tickets turned up, and if they had to face the situation again, they’d handle it exactly the same… but sorry if anyone got hurt.

Liverpool getting fleeced. I rate Nkunku much higher or even Lautaro, for now at least Darwin is only above average on the counter, while a bit useless vs a set defense due to technical limitations, but i guess we'll see how he does
Nkunku isn’t an out and out number 9, could say similar for Martinez who plays best with a partner (Lukaku, Dzeko). Some also say that Haaland is best on the counter and thrives on the open spaces of the Bundesliga.

The kid must have something about him, scored a goal every 76 minutes in his league campaign this year. It’s a bad league but you can only do the business where you play. I think the step up will be huge and we’ve seen what the pressure of a big fee can do to good players, so let’s see.

To compete at the level Liverpool need to be at to keep up with us doesn’t leave any margin for error when he lands that’s for sure.

And thats a fair point but Haalands clearly more talented and physically capable, its a bit of a joke to compare the two tbh. Haaland is a once in a generation talent, Darwin is not. I mean, Nunez isnt even a starter for his national team

Also the partner stuff is a bit irrelevant considering liverpool plays with three guys close together up front, and he comes to replace Mané, whos not a striker

National team stuff means little to nothing. He will sign for pool the magically start come November once he has a handful of goals. This seems to be a good signing for him. Certainly inflated from a cost standpoint but have to imagine they feel they have to do a move like this to stay competitive with city given their window so far. Filled the biggest void in spades so they have to react especially after losing mane.

I like him a lot. He tore nearlywontheleague a new one in the recent CL game and scored a bucket full of disallowed goals, they were obviously impressed, he has been on our radar as well but Haaland changed all that. Big pressure on him as the guy he is replacing has been their mane man for the last few years.
